After 0-2 down, winning 4-2 against Ramsgate must have give the lads confidence for the game against Lewes_F.C._logo.png

Lewes are currently the number 1 in the able with 51 points out of 24 games. Scored 48 and conceded 20 goals.

Top scorers are well-known Billy Medlock with 15 goals and Brotherthon with 11 goals.

Remember the spectacular last game: https://www.hastingsobserver.co.uk/sport/football/local/hastings-all-but-secure-play-off-spot-after-4-4-draw-1-7919214

Lewes plays at: The Dripping Pan, mountfield road, Lewes The Dripping Pan - Home of lewes Football Club

And we? Surely we had some luck against Ramsgate but it can't be luck to be already 10 games unbeaten! Surely this is a test and Medlock back for Lewes and scoring the winner against Sittingbourne yesterday won't make it easier. But the team is already showing progress and hopefully a lot of supporters will make the trip.

Safe journey and COYU'ssssssssssss

First half played well, penalty rather dubious and were unlucky to go in at half time one down. Lewes came into it more in second half and scored a good goal from a free kick. Overall Lewes probably just edged it.
The real talking point about this game were the total idiots letting off Bangers, leading to some of our players remonstrating with them. Was told by a Lewes Steward that most were banned Eastbourne supporters. Why do they always turn up at Lewes ? I hope the Police got their names and are banned from all grounds.

With the last past history , why they allowed alcoholic drinks and also why they didn’t kick off at 1.00pm ... apparantly the fox hunting morons started their mindless activities at that time . Lewes officials need to look at their piss poor stewarding especially with 800 plus fans

Also the Eastbourne Derby ( borough v town ) started at 1pm .. alcohol ruined it as usual although I believe a lot of those lads were on a rented coach from Hastings

Back to the match , why did Dayshonne come off ? , and why do we have nothing to offer up front with substitutions

Totally agree Chris, Stewards should have searched them , although they can then buy alcohol in the ground. Should have been a 1pm kick off and the sale of alcohol banned until after the game. Not an excuse but we seemed rather subdued after the incidents. Dayshonne, probably our best played appeared to be limping when he came off and as you imply Calum certainly needs help up front.

Most frustrating afternoon. Maybe we used up our quota of luck against Ramsgate but whatever, unfortunate to be behind at half time and pretty comfortably beaten at the end as Lewes stepped it up in the 2nd half. Winterton never had a save to make. I was told Dayshonne got a knock which was a shame as he was our best player along with Ansu who's subbing baffled me while at least a couple of other lads who didn't have good games did the whole 90.

Huge credit to Dayshonne for his attempts to put an end to the rooky throwing antics as the moronic behaviour of a number of individuals left the real supporters shaking their heads. I dont like to comment about stewarding as your average Bostik South hi viz wearing official is not trained to deal with a large group of pissed up people. Seeing the Bill there was very sad. But most Lewes supporters will know most United supporters were as pissed off by today's behaviour as they were.

13 points off the 'That'll do' places after today's results. Quite a gap between 6th and 7th now as the top end turns into a mini league all of it's own. Horrible drive home.

Not one for fishing for 'Positives' after losing but at least William didn't do a Dorking on us when he came on.

Sounds like it was a good game to miss. Not much to shout about from Hastings on the pitch and a fair amount of poor behaviour from people attaching themselves to Hastings for the day.
