Rightttttt..... Whybourne from the E Sussex League & Akotto playing in county 2 in straight swap for Aziaya ( who although has declined a bit of recent was quality early on ) & Pritchard ( Prob the best and most consistent youngster of the lot ) Doubt many of us would have expected that one?
Been a fan of young Bradley since the East Grindstead game last year ... his footballing brain is sharp and he reads the game brilliant ... experience is everything but I have to say I am a bit miffed tonight
I would of put Roderi out on loan ..make him a striking hero of a lower league team ... he needs the confidence as i think he is far off Kenny and Dean
But what's the score with micheal ?? ... he was so reliable ... what's happened there
So our best player/striker leaves last week and today our best defender along with the only academy player that looked good enough to make it, who goes out on loan. Who is making these decisions? Why the hell would we let Michael go? Just don't know what to say anymore and so very sad what is happening to our club. Just wish we could loan out some of the people that are running this club. Shambles from top to bottom.

cant make it up whats going on lets hear why Michael gone, lets see what happens sat then lets see what happens next week then the next week oh the seasons over.
I hope Chris Agutter isn't underestimating the strength of many of the teams in our league. Cannot see the remainder of our squad posing much of a threat to the top teams. In fact there sends to be an inverse relationship between all the positive and upbeat official statements coming from the club and the strength of our squad. Strange goings on- pretty sure we are being told very little about what is actually happening. Is Chris mixing Rhys up with Sean Ray-who was a commanding defender? Kenny P will need to be at his best and fittest to make an impact.
Really hope kenny does well for us, but he is not a replacement for Billy medlock, or even a fit Jack Harris from what I’ve seen. Would be delighted if he proved me wrong
lots of negativity towards club and some supporters disgruntled but where's ya Hastings Heart?
A few lot of answers will probably be told at forum night and speculation on whatever is happening behind the scenes be spoken about too but some stuff needs keeping in house and supporters won't know everything what's happened regarding club.(be it players, budget, academy or whatever).
Chris needs a while to bed himself and I'm sure will give utd a decent side battling for promotion.
Hinch has gone but doesn't mean the graft that started won't carry on a few more new faces and couple of wins back in the mix.
The gloom on the forum will change.
Let's get behind Aggy and the club and see if it's a better year this year !
Heard this message from Cloudboy quite a few times. The Hastings Heart he talks about is found at the Pilot Field year after year as manager after manager comes in and fans forums come and go. When things are happening that seem absurd supporters always told about the need to keep things "in house." Thought we might have been getting somewhere under Darren Hare but not so sure now.
Whilst you’re right to try to encourage optimism and right to do so as someone within the club ( or very close to ) we can’t ignore the factual events of recent and as such it’s not totally unwarranted negativity in all honesty though is it? To lose a manager 2 months into the season for a reason apparently unconnected to the very poor performances and then to have it admitted when the new man takes charge who was the assistant manager previously that the club lacks several senior players shows that the preparation of the previous few months was a bit of a failure to say the least.
Coupled with the departure from the board and the club of someone so well liked around the club and it’s unsurprising that even the most hardcore & longserving fans on here are depressed of recent about the direction things have taken. The noise, singing & atmosphere at the ground has declined to a morgue-like level over the last few seasons and even the early signings of the new manager have come at the cost of the departures of two of what the fans considered to be the better players of the early part of the season.
On the flip side I do still think that individually most of the youngsters can indeed be regulars for the first team in time but the early season issues have probably made it harder to do so than it needed to be. We all want the academy to work and to be the production line that brings success for both the club and the players themselves at higher levels. Hopefully the right senior signings can be made to still bring us significantly up the table but I doubt that all but the absolute hardcore fans like PhilG will be there home & away to wait for it to happen in the meantime whilst this team finds its feet yet again.
Optimism and a hope that things will improve are things that the hard score are well used to but most casual fans ( who make up the majority of the crowd ) patience and optimism are not finite and have been tested over the past few seasons in a division that everyone agrees ( including the most recent statement from the club ) that we should not be happy to be in. Last season wasn’t the best in terms of sheer points but the entertainment factor and star quality of several of the players kept people engaged, we just don’t have that in the same way this season.
I just hope the fans forum starts with an apology for the mess that the first two months have been and a honest and clear path is laid out with realistic expectations for the rest of the season. It would be great if it could be filmed by the club maybe or even streamed live on twitter to maximise interest? All easily done nowadays. Honesty and straight talking would be by far the best choice at this stage. We all want the club to succeed but we need to know that the people up top are on the same page as the fans to really get behind the club again as well as just the team.
Speaking personally Saturday home & Away games at Hastings have gone from being an enjoyable insatiable addiction for the last few seasons that I couldn’t wait for but have now become a barely enjoyable habit that is mostly worthwhile for the company and catching up with people at the game rather than the result itself. I’m sure it’s just me but I’ve certainly lost the spark, anticipation and enjoyment of recent times in watching us and envy PhilG his fanatical ability to go home & Away and remain positive that things will improve come what may and massive respect to people who do so. I hope I regain that feeling and reconnection with the club. Of course Tuesday games are a different matter as who on earth has other stuff on then?! :)

The big problem we have Dan, as you know, is absolutely nothing will get resolved at the forum because most fans and nearly everyone I have spoken too are refusing to go. People will say, 'well don't moan then if you can't make the effort' but we have had forums before with Dom, Gary and Darren, which all made us feel great when we left and then months later everything falls apart and managers and players start to leave so they mean absolutely nothing. They can say what they like on the Tuesday but no one believes them and there is a distinct lack of trust between the fans and those who run the club. I don't know Chris well, but I have spoken to him a couple of times and he speaks well and I like him and what he has to say and want to trust him but I just don't believe the hierarchy will leave him do what he wants. Of course they will tell us that, but it won't happen. I may be wrong but understand the club don't even pay the managers wages, this is done by Skilltek, which is strange in itself if true. Will they continue to pay the managers wages and back him if Chris point blank refuses to play any of the youngsters because he doesn't think they are good enough? How will they react if he turns around and says he wants Rodari out on a season long loan? ofcourse, we can ask this on the Tuesday but they will only tell us what we want to hear. Much better for say 5 supporters, across all age groups, at a table, behind closed doors, belting out some honest questions and answers from the fans that can be fed back as just don't believe we will get honest answers on the night, thats if anyone turns up.
Sadly, like you Dan, I too have no excitement for the football anymore. I have probably missed a dozen away games over the past 5 or 6 years and barely missed a home game in close on 30, so no one can ever accuse me of being a fair weather supporter, but to turn up week on week, never knowing who is staying and who has left is not on. And then to pay £40 for two of you to watch an away game and see 7 academy players in the squad, is not on.
Since Dorking we have had 23 players leave, 23!!! in what, 8-9 games. We have lost a director, two program editors, the kit man and let's not forget two managers. Are you serious!! There is something very very wrong with this club somewhere, we all know that, and a fans forum will certainly appease a few, we all know who they are, but not sure it will fool the rest this time round.
I'll support Chris 100% because he had the decency to make the effort to talk to me and as things stand, I trust him to turn things round. Has he fed me a load of bull? Maybe, has he told me perhaps what Skilltek or the directors have told him to say, perhaps, but until I see or hear anything different to what I have been told I'll support the manager and ignore the usual bull we get at these forums. We have all had enough of the internal fighting, the huge turnover of players and the lack of trust between the club and its fans. Dan is right, the atmosphere on match days is terrible and the worst I have ever seen, the fans don't even chant anymore. We used to be the 12th man and get excited about games but now the passion has been sucked out of us. What a huge, massive and perhaps impossible job Chris has on his hands.
well said dan and john, might be right to have afew people round the table who can gather questions and fire them at the board and know if there being bullxxxxxx.am to depressed with it all and go to games with no excitement but still keep going because I want that back,
Some very good, well thought out posts on this thread. Remains to be seen whether anybody takes any notice, supporters are always taken for granted at any level of the game. Poor people skills with volunteers was always an accusation levelled at Dave Walters, anybody got any evidence that this has improved?
I'll still be at games quite simply because it's what I've always done but like many others my enthusiasm is at an all time low.
Personally in my opinion of course I think the club has gone backwards!! The strides we made last season should be improved upon this season. That should mean promotion - but it's looking nothing like that at the moment!!
Isn't the whole thing a conlfict of interest in the modem game ... clubs ran by shareholders waiting to selll grounds to become richer overnight by selling property whilst the fans get a new ' Lego ' ground in the bargain whilst the soul is ripped out of the heart of the club
Clubs run by boards not managers skill and experience . The days of owners having no interest in the club of football and the whole system just a business .. Companies like Sky and I am no saying it's them .. just using them for reference prob saved football by large TV revenue but boy hadn't it ruined the game by ripping the guts out of the working man , no longer a sport viaible or affordable due to fat cat property and business speculators
Heard of this before at modern football , of course it isn't us ... couldn't be could it 🙄 Not at Hastings !
