Sorry Bert I am not taking over your job as match previewer, but I thought I might go and see this match tomorrow night and see what players we have and what sort of side we will put out.

Being in the Southern Combination Premier they are only one league below us so it should be a good first test.

Although they lost at home to Sevenoaks Town(Southern Counties East Premier) 1-3 on Saturday I am sure they will be looking to bounce back from that defeat.

I see they have Anthony Storey as manager and Cliff Cant as assistant.

Am I to understand that it is now a 7.30pm kick off instead of 7.45pm?

But Dan - all you need to do is take a Southern train (if it runs) to East Croydon, then an Uckfield train (er, if it runs) hoping it isn't delayed because of late running due to that route having single line sections, get to the ground and then the same in reverse. Around 3 and a half hours each way. Or go to Lewes and get a bus - or wait for the line to be reinstated between Lewes and Uckfield as part of the Brighton Main Line 2 campaign - or follow it on Twitter.......

Useful run out ,thought the first half eleven looked more of a team, Davide Rodari looked useful, gather he started at Inter Milan. Second half missed a couple of sitters, should have won . Very very impressed by the
Trialist playing at 10. Looking forward to Saturday.

Cheers Phil .. let's hope  the decent trialist makes good . We had one like that a few years ago I remember . A tall blond defender who was excellent. He got injured and disappeared without trace ... nobody even seemed to know his name .    So what do they do on the pitch shout " yeah trialist ..1,2 trialist ... ".     Always amazes me !

Windy , the lad that played last night was not tall, blonde or a defender.....in fact he was the complete opposite, but had an excellent 45 minutes.

Don't know his name John, in fact did not know the name of a few of them. However if Adam picks him Saturday and he plays like he did last night we'll soon know him. On the other hand he may disappear into the ether like your tall blond guy never to be seen again, but I hope not.

Blimey !!! Any chance you can find out what happened to Shergar , Lord Lucan or Glenn Miller ?😂😂 How did you find that out his name after all this time ? That is definitely him ... how did we let him slip through the net ?      Let's hope this new trialist doesnt go the same way .

Remember him well. He looked a fantastic prospect. If my memory serves me right he was carried off after a bad injury in a home friendly v Whitehawk never to be seen again.

Haha Adrian, no problem. Will only do the previews from 12 August, our first game in the League
