I Don't know if anyone has seen the proposed new restructuring of Non League steps 3 and 4 from 2018/19 yet.
It means the Ryman South will drop from 24 teams to 20 so we will only be playing 38 games each season, 8 games less (4 home games) how this will affect the clubs finances remains to be seen.
Looking on the positive side I suppose clubs that do well in the FA Cup and Trophy it would reduce fixture congestion later in the season playing 2 or 3 games a week like South Park this season. It would also mean less midweek games as well especially if they are going to do away with FA Cup replays too.
The thing that bothers me is there will be 3 leagues of 20 teams at Ryman South Level feeding into the new Ryman Premier of 22 teams. How this will affect promotion and relegation I don't know.
Will it be even harder to gain promotion in the future?
But what looks certain is that step 4 level will contain a lot more county league teams than at present!
