After the almost perfect performance against South Park it is now at TPF against
Casuals are currently the number 12 in the table with 61 points out of 43 games.
They scored 93 and conceded 93 goals. Top scorer Odunaike with 21 goals.
Remember our away game against them ; http://www.footballwebpages.co.uk/isthonesouth/match/28923
And we ? Surely after the Godalming game every Hastings United supporter was in shock and thought is was all over.
But after 2 great away games and other results are on our hand the world looks more bright then ever. Casuals got only 1 point out of their 5 last games and surely with a lot of supporters coming to our Pilot Field this could be a match while we will win and Carshalton and Lewes will draw we already secured our play off place!
Don't forget to click 'going' or 'interested' on the event link below to be entered in the draw to win 2 x tickets and Boardroom hospitality!
Over 130 people have done the above compared to around 40 for a normal game so hopefully it has a decent positive knock on effect on the attendance on Saturday
The events been seen by over 30,000 mostly local people on Facebook as well.
Any ideas which ground the play off final is going to be ...., not jumping the gun , just interested

I believe it will be the home ground of which of the winners of the semi-final play-offs finished highest in the league. That is how I think the rules applied 10 years ago when we played Tooting and Mitcham.
We were massive under-dogs when we went into the semi final at Dover ten years ago but took a large noisy crowd and upset the odds. Then did the same again in the final four days later.
Who knows in 2017 ?
We definitely have the quality to do it again.
Yep no home games in the playoffs for us unfortunately.
Almost, but not absolutely, certainly so. If we won all our remaining games and Corinthian Casuals took no more than four points from their's then we would finish above them with our much superior goal difference. We would need to beat Greenwich Borough away on the Tuesday and Corinthian Casuals would need to beat Dorking; then (I think!) we would host Corinthian Casuals in the final on Saturday 29th ..... Dream on!

It really is not easy being a Hastings supporter these days. Pure brilliance one game, to looking like relegation material the next and today we were somewhere in between. The loss of Ollie Rowe just before kick off did not help proceedings but first half we were average at best and pretty fortunate to go in just one down. Walton, as their league goal difference would confirm (93 scored 93 conceded) always looked dangerous on the break whilst always looking prone to the odd error at the back but to be fair they defended pretty well throughout, expertly martialled by Jamahl King and their excellent keeper. A lob from Stannard that clipped the post and a fantastic save from a Collin header were all Hastings had to show whilst Walton could have 3 or 4 at the other end with the defence looking pretty uneasy in front of Nichols who does not fill me with confidence.
Second half was pretty much one way traffic without ever getting near the heights of the previous two games, whilst Walton always looked capable of adding a second On the break. Chances for Stanhard, Collin and two for Bodkin as the pressure increased and it just looked like one of those days until Bodkin finally smashed in after a penalty area scramble. After this further chances came but it just wasn't to be and at the end only the outstretched hand of Nichols saved what could be a crucial point.
Thought Bodkin and Stanhard were good today but Crutts was the stand out player on the field today and almost single handedly drove the team on In the second half. Nichols concerns me and Butcher and Emptage looked fairly average today again and as for Barnwell, I don't think I have ever seen someone so tall, who is so poor in the air.
With Carshalton pulling off an incredible win against Lewes today, this point could still be massive and a point at Lewes on Monday may be enough as Carshalton go to Tooting on the same day who need a win to win the league. Not an enjoyable day today but is it ever supporting Hastings?
And to add, way too much long ball football from the back today. I am sure the Walton centre backs were delighted when we spent the first hour today hoofing the ball to Collin's head. Not sure why we started playing that way after the two previous fantastic footballing performances.
Fair assessment, John.
We certainly made enough half chances second half to have taken all the points but we were a long way from our best today and maybe should be grateful for one point after a such a poor start. I thought we were awful for half an hour.
Clearly Lewes also got the jitters letting in two injury time goals and, in a way, it's a shame they effectively have nothing to play for on Monday.
We are still very much in the box seat, mainly because Carshalton have that trip to Tooting...and we could even reach the play offs without getting another point.
Let's hope no lasting damage to Ollie as we certainly missed his presence this afternoon.
As you say, John, its not easy watching this Hastings team as you NEVER know what your going to get.
The last four results are just so typical of our inconsistency.
What is absolutely clear though is we will need at least two more 'good days' if we're going to nick promotion.
Really boring and bitty start to the game ... Walton were spoilers today , we didn't really play well and seemed we couldn't against them . Missed Ollie and Atoko struggled abit , Sobers really had a bad day at the office with the 'Benny Hill' mess of the Walton goal . Where is Pidgely ?? ... will he be back ???
John is bang on ... Nicholsin goal and Barnwell who I unfairly critised struggled today with long balls . Thought they brought him on to counter the Walton goalkeeper 'Denzal' , who played brilliantly however he doesn't use his height to any advantage
Bradley Stevenson who I had really given up on , was really good with some nice runs and balls into Walton . I am glad for him as he is a talent . Thought Sebony for Walton was impressive but all in all with both the time wasting from Walton and the faffing around by the referee it was a painful and annoying game to watch . Lewes have nothing to play for now but they will not want us to get promotion and I think will raise their game against us .... I don't drink , but plenty of chocolate will be needed at the Dripping Pan to keep me from exploding on Monday
Exciting end to the season , never easy being a Hastings fan but glad we are still in it
Sad to Chatham relegated , love that away fixture and really nice club

Awkward game for Hastings today after a very rare Jerome mistake. Pleased to get a point in the end as a determined defence kept Hastings at bay. Typically, Jehmal had a strong game at the back along with the rest of their defence. Hope Ollie is fit for Monday and we can keep Ryan from rushing out from his goal!
Think Ramsgate did us a massive favour today. Not only have they made Mondays game between Tooting and Carshalton even more important as Tooting now need the win but it also keeps Dorking interested probably right up to the last day, and if we do make it they are going to be our semi final opponents.
Do we know if Frannie is likely to be ok for Monday? See him holding his hammy when he came off.
A really mixed game today. The obvious point being that we missed Ollie Rowe very much indeed. Jerome struggled to adapt. His first half error cost us a goal and he was lucky to get away with another in the second half. Their keeper kept out a string of second half chances, but we could very easily have conceded a couple more goals had Walton shown more composure in front of goal. I was happy with a point when I thought Lewes had beaten Carshalton as that would have meant that a draw on Monday would have got us over the line. It might still, if Tooting beat Carshalton and - as John points out above- there is now every reason for them to strive to do just that. So, on balance I see today as a point gained in adversity.
Certainly it's not a dead cert that Tooting will win the league yet.....and that we will be playing Dorking if we get there.
Carlshalton go to Tooting for 'a do or die' match on Monday that they MUST win to keep their season alive.
Meanwhile Dorking must fancy their chances at Guernsey.
If both games should result in away wins then Dorking host Tooting on the last day of the season..and a win would give them the automatic promotion.
In that scenario we would need a point at Lewes and three against Chipstead to guarantee the last play off place...and ANOTHER trip to Tooting.
Don't you just love these 'end of season permutations ?
Despite an average and frustrating first half we should have won that. Nobody is going to consistently string together performances like we saw in the previous two games. The only reason we didn't win it was the Casuals keeper - nice touch at the end when he turned round to applaud United fans. He was superb and it would've been a travesty if his lot had won. Now for Lewes.......
Shambles was the word going around our supporters at half time and that's exactly what it was. I thought we were lucky to go in one down. Second half was a big improvement but that wasn't hard. I don't like criticising individuals and I won't start now but I agree with most of the comments above. Still can't understand why Crutts isn't starting alongside Johnno because in my, and most others I speak to, opinion that is our best centre mid pairing. Just glad we still can make the lottery and things are in our own hands.
