To any Hastings United supporters that have a free afternoon tomorrow the Hastings United FC Academy are playing at home at the Pilot Field against Maidstone United at 2pm KO free admission. Hastings United Academy are unbeaten in the league and have very talented local football players, half of the team have players that have already made their Hastings United first team debut and I'm sure the Hastings United Academy team and management would love your support as Hastings are chasing Maidstone for the league title COYU's!!!
First look at the academy side today and was really impressed after their 2-1 win over previously unbeaten Maidstone. Dean and Glyn look to have done a super job with these guys and the future looks very rosy. Very impressed with left back Ollie Black and his throw is as long as anything I have ever seen. Surely the seniors could utilise this in the last 10mins of games. You really have to see it to believe it. The keeper looks a great shot stopper but needs to work on crosses, thought Jordan had a good game and in Davide Rodari a really strong target man but for me captain Tom Climpson was MOM and scored a cracking goal.
Now off to South Park to see if the seniors can show the same effort and application as their juniors. Thoroughly enjoyable afternoon.
