And after a more then comfortable win this week against Three Bridges it is now against Guernsey_FC_Logo.jpg

 

They are currently the number 21 in the table with 29 points out of 35 games.

Scored 51 and conceded 90 goals. They lost their 3 last games and conceded 10 goals.

Guernsey play at : Footes Lane Stadium : The Garenne Stand

And we? We are playing some nice football and scoring 11 goals and conceded 0 in the last 3 games. So if we want to be in the play offs we need to win this one.

Have all a safe journey( flight) and bring us back some nice points.

Any one flying or by ferry may have a problem as the islands are fog bound ... no planes flying yet from Southampton ...

Proper nightmare .. just arrived for 14.40 flight , the 7.00am still not flown

looks like weather may lift

Hastings under a bit of pressure now although Kiernon  beats a couple of players and breaks into penalty area but holds on to it too long. News on Emptage, he appears to be okay

Hastings playing a really ugly direct game and barely able to put two passes together. Very poor still but somehow still winning with our only real chance.

Scrappy game not helped by other zealous referee ... they made us not play well but a win us a win

Nice ground , people with great support , but a rugby ground really with an island full of sports fans

We were made to look poor...but a game for a weekend away but their way they are going on I am not sure they will be in the same division next year .

Their number 10 looked tasty , the rest well were average combined with the loss of the captain shows throwing money at teams doesn't always work

Hastings march on , I will come again for away fixture but I sure it may not be forever for Guernsey

As Chris has said this was the scrappiest game that you will see all season. Neither side could string passes together and there was little fluid play. Even the goal was a deflection off Jerome's posterior.However 3 points gained when we perhaps did not deserve them. Not making excuses for the players but a trip to Guernsey is a long day and maybe a bit of fatigue set in.Well done to the 30 supporters that made the journey.
What is important now is that Darren has less than 48 hours to get the players ready for an important game on Tuesday night.
