As said on another thread, we appear to be hitting top form just at the right time of the season. All games now crucial but 14 points from our next 6 games and we are right in the hunt for a top 3 finish. Looking at fixtures and who they have signed this week I think Tooting & Mitcham are gone and don't think Dorking will be far behind but I really think 3rd place at least is now within our grasp if everyone stays fit and of course a bit of luck along the way. A lot of the teams above us have a very tough next few weeks as you can see below.

Hastings - A Guernsey  H Carshalton  H Chatham  A Hythe  A Ramsgate  H Tooting

Tooting - A Lewes  A Cray  A Godalming  H Chipstead  A Three Bridges  A Hastings

Dorking - H Chipstead  A Chatham  A Lewes  H Ramsgate  A Corinthian  A Molesey

Carshalton - H Cray  A Hastings  A Horsham  A South Park  H Greenwich  A Hythe

Hythe - H Three Bridges  A Greenwich  H Sittingbourne  H Hastings  A Lewes  H Carshalton  A Molesey

Lewes - A South Park  H Tooting  H Dorking  A Molesey  H Hythe  A Godalming

Greenwich - H Walton  H Hythe  H Faversham  A Carshalton  A South Park  H Corinthian

Corinthian - A Guernsey  A Faversham  A Cray  H Dorking  A Greenwich

An interesting array, John. Yes, over the last five games, we've put ourselves in a better position than many of us might dare have hoped. As Darren observed a few weeks ago, what's been missing this season is a consistent run of positive results. We're halfway there, let's just hope that 'bad' Hastings doesn't make an unwelcome return!
As for the opposition's fixtures, Lewes have a real stinker over their next five games. It could certainly define their season.

would you include South Park as potential promotion candidates or would you discard them due to their fixture overload?

I'm just glad we're playing them in the re-arranged game when we are - at the end of the season - when, because of the press of fixtures, I think it will be quite impossible for them them to sustain their present form.

At half time on Saturday.....most scores going in our favour as things stand.....just need Three Bridges to get the winner at Hythe.

But we play Hythe and South Park. And with other fixtures of teams around us if we won every game we would have to be in play offs.

I see South Park's home match against Lewes was postponed tonight so that's another week where they will have to play two midweek games. Really tough for them to make a challenge from here.
