Acquisition Of The Elphinstone Sports & Social Club

Hastings United FC are pleased to advise that the acquisition of the Elphinstone Sports & Social Club completed this week.

As we are midway through the current football season it has been decided that the Club re-branding and refurbishment programme will be done during the early part of 2017 and the current management will continue to operate the Club until such time as Refurbishment work is completed when we can fully integrate both clubs, offering reciprocal Memberships between Football and Social for the start of the 2017/18 season.

However HUFC are delighted to confirm that season ticket holders for 2016/17 can from now use the Elphinstone Club but to do so they will require an Elphinstone Club entry card as the club has an automated door entry system. Any season ticket holders who require a card should provide their name and address to Hastings United FC Secretary Tony Cosens who will arrange for a card to be issued.

Hastings United FC Director David Nessling commented ‘he is delighted that we have been able to finally conclude the acquisition of the Elphinstone Members club.  We will now look to improve facilities for their Members in the near future. He also commented that a lot of thought has been put into the proposed relocation of the Club from the Pilot Field to Combe Valley where the new Sports Village would include new squash courts and state of the art enlarged Gym facilities. We would hope that when the move happens all Elphinstone Members will take the opportunity to move over to enjoy what will be some of the best Sports facilities in the South.

Steve Horan, Chairman of The Elphinstone Sports & Social Club commented ‘ With the Football’s Club investing in a refurbishment of the Club to improve facilities for its Members , and with the exciting prospect of brand new facilities for its members as part of the Combe Valley Sports Village our members get the best of both worlds. Both clubs are neighbours and there is an obvious synergy with both working closely together. It’s an exciting future ahead
