What a crap draw that is. Sure Margate are happy though, although reminds me a little of Staines/Bishop Stortford/Harrogate away in that famous cup run year.

That's now four rounds of FA Cup away from home, two rounds of League Cup away and first round of FA Trophy away. What are the chances of that?

conquest1, I believe that there are now 5 away games ,as apparently the league game at Hythe on the 11th October has been postponed as they have a Kent Senior Cup game on the same night, which takes priority

Once again a Micky Mouse cup gets in the way of league football.

Absolutely unreal that a County Cup game that will attract very little interest will take precedent over a league fixture.

This happens every year. I have some sympathy for County FA's, because the County Cup fixtures are a significant event for teams in the County leagues when they provide them with a potential opportunity to play teams higher up the pyramid. I imagine County FA's will be very reluctant to relinquish their priority for cup games over the Ryman league fixtures. Even at our level we do have an obligation to support those lower in the pyramid.

However, I have very little sympathy for the Ryman League Cup because that is something wholly within the control of the Ryman league itself. It was the league's choice to recently increase the size of our league whilst retaining the league cup. That puts unreasonable pressure on clubs who have even a modest run in the FA cup or Trophy. Time for the league to reconsider, I would suggest.
