Pleasantly surprised on our performance.Played a good passing game and looked in control.Should have had two penalties and their defence was by far the busier. Then it all went wrong with the goalkeeper substitution.I haven't seen Dan play before and I know he's young, but if your good enough then age is not a problem.I will not pass judgement but I guess Welling were pleased we made that change

Have to agree Conquest very very impressed with our play and either of the left backs could fit in. As you say it was a tale of two keepers, 'Pidge' oozed confidence and if he signs could be worth 15-20 points, whilst Dan make two errors and it cost, but he will learn and will be better for it. Deserved to win, but we lost 3-1 on front of a crowd of 245.

Forgetting about the last 10 minutes or so this was an excellent display against a team recently relegated from the National League.
We more than matched them in every department and deserved to take the lead which looked like it went straight in from the long throw in, but it must have taken a touch along the way.
We then should have gone 2 up when Matt Bodkin (my MOM) was clean through.
Harry Stannard from Gillingham U18 Academy & Reece Butler from Maidstone U18 Academy were excellent so was Richie Welch from our own Academy, in fact everyone played well and if we continue playing like this all season then we should have no problems at all.
Although he has agreed terms with us I just hope that Lenny Pidgeley puts pen to paper and signs as without a first choice Goalkeeper we look very vunerable.
