So excited about Frannie Collin, what a super signing! For those supporters who have not seen him in action, he is absolute quality. The thought of him and Medlock up front is mouth watering. Please, please, please let's get Billy signed on next. Also really pleased to see the other guys agree to stay on particularly Jerome Smith. I really see something in this guy and think he could have a massive season for us.
Guessing now that priorities are Medlock, a keeper, and a central defender. Would also like to see a big strong playmaker in the middle of the park alongside Johno. Throw in Josh Hare, Tyrell, McLean and a couple of quality youngsters and we are not far off already. Just wonder whether Darren could also bring out the best in Zac. I know not all agree but still think he has something to offer with the proper coaching and an injury free season. Happy days !!!!
Don't forget the eternal Leftback issue though John, would be good to sort that problem long term.
IMO We need a top GK ( Cant assume Josh will be back anytime soon ), Another CB, 2 x LB's, 1 Midfield ball winner, 1 x winger who can cover both sides, and three more forward players.

Excellent news ; maybe from today on with a not so expensive pound we even bring in some foreign ( read dutch ) players.
The squad is growing and growing!
Why another central defender when got Rowe, watt n smith already, pells is trying his best to get fit for July 13th but what about Matt cruttwell as the gk coach Steve Smithers has trained him from a youngen.
Think the wings will be secure if can get Tyrell n McLean as coley has signed on what is a big bonus, also were does Matt bodkin play ?Â
So i think a goalkeeper, left back, ball winning midfielder, medlock are the next 4 key

Bert, I think the whole idea of us leaving the EU is that we don't allow foreign players, at least not at this level., although I stand to be corrected.
what about Matt cruttwell as the gk coach Steve Smithers has trained him from a youngen.
??? granted , he`s not a bad keeper and has been at hastings a few times, but as soon as he's benched, he`s not been very happy and left.. and after Joe came in last season Matt said he`ll never come back to hastings , that is why young Dan played at the Whitstable game.
Why not give him a shot while pells is recovering ? 9 years at hufc youth, coached from 8 year old plus as a 13 and 14 year old was coached by pells.
He has spent the last one and a half seasons sat on the bench, never missed a training session, put in a pretty good account of himself for his debut. just to spend the end last season watching a inadequate loan keeper throw away our chance of the playoffs, all while he was helping to steer Sussex to a league title and a FA Cup Final as their undisputed No1.
i would have been happy to have seen our new manager try and create a team of younger more local players with his experience in doing that at Gillingham and that I thought was what Club said at end of last season when they said there would be more focus on youth this season. so think this a big uturn . But great signing Collin and look like we are going for it more than last season. very good additions to the players we have keept and imagine we will be favourites again for the league with the money we spend and the players we have got and hope that this season the manager gets the most out of players and get some good consistent performance which was so hit n miss last year. only negative hope we are not spending more than we can afford
is there any news on medlock and is he signing? agree with john that collin and medlock would be mouth watering a conference south strike partnership. cant see attwood staying and that does not disappoint me but hope tyrell stays and Hare can get more out of him
Matt Bodkin I believe is primarily a RW Steve but can play anywhere across midfield. A midfield of Bodkin, Johnson, Cruttwell, Cole certainly looks a very creative force if possibly lacking a ball winner.
Good luck Zac ... Hope you can stay fit next season http://www.pitchero.com/clubs/crowboroughathletic/news/muggeridge-nets-himself-another-great-signing-1636523.html
Zac was never really at his fittest but when he got close to it he showed what he was capable of. Crowborough must have a benefactor putting loot in. See how long it lasts.
Crowborough do have someone putting in a large sum. Can't blame fitness on Zacs poor performance, in his spells at the club there seemed to be a lack of desire in fair few games
You may see it like that Chris but having spoke to him a few times last season and yesterday it wasn't a lack of desire ... He really struggled to get fit . I know a lot people think the same way as you , which is fair enough , but just wanted to let you lnow that he really wanted to stay but needs to move on for one reason or another ...good luck to him anywayÂ
Decent bloke Zac and whenever I spoke to him he seemed desperate to play for Hastings. I don't think he ever recovered from his first injury and if he can get back to full fitness I for one would welcome him back.
I was also referring to his first spell at club. And some of those performances in the relegation season. Not saying he is not a good guy or anything like that, but not 100% sure about commitment.
