The Club is pleased to announce the appointment of two new Directors to join a Board that currently comprises Chairman Dave Ormerod, and existing Directors Tony Cosens, Dave Nessling and Pat McCrossan.
Barrie West has become a familiar face at the Pilot Field since he first got involved with the Club's Youth Section back in 2007. He joined the matchday team as Turnstile Manager four years later, and has also served as Chairman of the Management Committee since it was formed twelve months ago.
Peter Sherlock is the Managing Director and Project Director of Sherlock Consultancy, who has kindly supported the Club as one of its Associate Sponsors since the start of last season.
The Club would like welcome both Barrie and Peter to the Board. which they join in time to provide valuable assistance in the process of appointing a new First Team Manager.
Congratulations to both. I don't know Peter; but we all know Barrie, so particular congratulations to him. He will undoubtedly be a source of great common sense and practical knowledge when it comes to appointing our new manager and in the season ahead.
I'd just like thank everyone for literally the dozens of phone calls, text messages and private messages via social media over the last week congratulating me on my appointment as a Director. Its truly a privilege to be asked to join the board of Directors. Obviously given my new position it wouldn't really be right for me to continue posting on here, therefore please be reassured that I will of course try my very best, as will the other board members to bring success to the club we all love.
I look forward to seeing you all in July for our first pre season.
Well done Barrie. I personally don't see why directors, players, managers etc can't post on this forum. More informed and accurate information would be most welcome.
