If indeed the stories are true, and Billy is now out for the season, I would firstly like to wish him a hasty recovery and say what an incredible player he has been for us this season and he has pretty much single handily carried us into the play off positions since Xmas. Whatever happens this season, I would hope that the directors and management team are already working on a package to keep Billy here next season as the team now has to be built around him. He really has been magnificent and if he can just improve his disciplinary record, because opposing teams will play on that, then we may just have our own Ross Allen and one of the best strikers we have had since the days of Ernie Batten.
If he is indeed out for the season, is there any thought at all in getting someone in for the last 2 games? Yes, that sounds senseless, but I see Worthing have done exactly that by taking on Jordan Maguire Drew from Brighton for the last three and play offs and he scored a hat trick on his debut on Saturday. Or do we stick and hope Zac at last comes to the party or Tyrell, who has hardly played in the last month, can regain some form?

Hopefully injury will soon clear up, and he is with us next season. However, perhaps over the summer he can look at improving his discipline and stop picking up senseless bookings, and to show some respect for his teammates, last Tuesday his outburst directed at Sam c was totally out of order.
Billy's absence for our two (or maybe four) remaining games is a major loss. Particularly given the difficulty we have in keeping a clean sheet. We need his goals to be in the hunt. Certainly I hope we can retain him for next season. As for what remains of this one: one positive is that I thought Zac played as well as I've seen him play in a very long time when he came on for Billy on Saturday. I would push Sam Adams forward to play up front with him and have Sam Cole and Jack McLean playing wide. I think we have no option but to go for goals since we are certainly going to concede some. (A matter which surely needs attention for next season whichever league we might be in.)
Taylor Davies Rowe Ray Wilson McLean Johnson Cruttwell Cole Adams Attwood
Looks about the best choice for me at this stage now without Billy. Only doubt is if Jack McLean can play on the RW effectively as only really seen him on the left. Maybe Tyrell there instead.

Does anyone have an update on Billy's injury. A few weeks back we were told he did not know the full extent of the injury until the swelling went down. How bad is it? When will he have an operation? How long is he likely to be out for? Is he staying?
Received a text yesterday from a friend at Phoenix Sports asking how good is Billy Medlock as they have just signed him.I said with all due respect I thought he would have gone higher level but assured him that they have an excellent player
I did hear at the ground on Saturday that Billy contacted the club in the week asking if he could come back under the terms that we originally offered to him (the terms that he rejected) but the club said no that they weren't interested.
Yes as Conquest1 says he is now playing for Phoenix Sports in Ryman North.
I wonder if we will regret that decision with Harris possibly out for up to 2 months. With Bright coming back from injury and not yet good enough to lead the line, and Jay May possibly unable to play in the FA Cup, that leaves us with just one striker in Frannie, and he is also struggling.
Reece Butler is our player as far as I am aware mate, presume he was still slightly injured on Sat and not ready to play but should be available to play in the FA cup if fit then.
