Did we what we had to today against side we knew would be poor. Come from behind but all in all a routine win. The big thing for us was both Hythe and Faversham losing at home!
The big thing was their supporters, when they were singing "we`ll win again, don`t know where don`t know when", and your s***, you can only score 4, what a brave lot of guys, coming all that way, and with such a great sense of humour. Ace. What a pity we wont be playing them next season
A very good day for us. Of course, we expected to win but we still had to do it. Great birthday performance and goals from Sean (is he really only 40? or did the announcement get something wrong?) and a great deal of hard work from Sam Cole who worked so well with Billy Medlock in the second half particularly. Good performances elsewhere; but not, I thought, from Zac who I thought delivered a substandard performance against indifferent opposition when he really should have made his class tell. He should do better; because unquestionably he can.
Very much agree with KT regarding the Whitstable supporters. Congratulations to them. No reflection on them, but I hope we are two leagues apart next season.
Very comfortable win today without ever getting out of second gear. We've certainly played much better than that this season..but against a team who have now conceded over 100 goals we were always going to get a lot of chances however we played.
It's great that Razor now believes he's going to score every time we get a corner and hard not to make him MotM.
Other than one great run that should have lead to a goal, the biggest disappointment for me was Zac again....he just always seem to lack the touch/pace/anticipation to be really effective.
Am I tempting fate by suggesting the questions isn't IF we are going to finish in the playoffs but WHERE we are going to finish in the playoffs ?
Very good from us yesterday. Must say I prefer Robbie Dean in the position he played yesterday in midfield rather than at the back - looked very dangerous. Another successful afternoon with HUFCLive too!
Think Robbie moved into midfield about the time we equalised when we reverted to 3 at the back. Hope Stuart King and Chris Smith don't ever team up together to play against us-11 goals between them in the last 2 seasons. Next 3 away games will provide more of a test for us-hoping for at least 2 wins.
was very good yesterday and look well organise and we used the chance of playing against the bottom team well. but like tim say the next game more of a test, whitstable must be one of pooreset sides i ever seen in this league and not much idea going forward and look like strangers in defence. but you only beat what is in front of you and we did it well and most players had good game apart from zac who is a luxury item and i thought look lazy yesterday and not interested. please to see razor getting goals again.
