After the loss ( again ) against Three Bridges it is now againstย
Guernsey are currently the number 10 in the table with 58 points out of 36 games. Scored 76 and conceded 64 goals.
Top scorers: of course Ross Allen with 23, Heaume with 10 and Loaring with 9 goals.
They are in a bad run; from their last 6 matches they lost 5 including a home defeat against Faversham ( in the last minute 1-2 ) and last Saturday away to Chipstead 1-4.
Guernsey play at :Footes Lane Stadium
And we? I think it is the same old story; against one of the bottom clubs we loose 6 points. Also it seems we have not too many substitutes on the bench who are having the ' quality ' to play for the first team.... With so many games in hand and to play a lot of games within the next weeks we desperate need some new players.
But let's hope the team have learned from their mistakes against Bridges and show us a great performance on the Island.
Like always: support the team and have a safe journey !
What a fantastic result and four different scorers too ... Always satisfying . Well done lads ... Now some consistency and 6 points from the next 2 games please ๐๐๐๐
Superb performance, probably the best 90 minutes this season, excellent passing football, none of the hoofing stuff. Apart from a ten minute spell we controlled the game. Ross Allen kept under wraps.
Don't like to pick a player of the match as they all put in a shift, but if Sam Adams has played a better game then I must have missed it.
In fairness to Guernsey they try to play good football but we were excellent today. More at East Grinstead on Tuesday please.
Great result, admittedly against a team who seem to have totally lost their way.
So important now we take maximum points from the next two games.
Hythe now look a massive threat. Thet have had eight straight wins which includes turning over Folkestone, Dorking and Worthing...and they take on Dorking again next week.
Still nine teams fighting it out for the play-off, I reckon.
Got back about an hour ago and have to say that the long day was certainly worth it. I thought we dominated 75% of the game. Some very good passing play in difficult windy conditions. Billy's goal was sublime and a contender for goal of the season. For me Billy was my MOTM but each player did well today. As Phil says more of the same Tuesday please.
I know I speak not just for the club but the managers and players too and say a huge thank you to each and every supporter that made the journey today, your support is greatly appreciated.
sound like decent win. we look to have easier fixtures at moment with guernsey east grinstead and whitstable all going through very bad spells so hope we take full advantage of this so good get 3 points yesterday to get what should be 9 from 3 games
Superb win that keeps us right in the hunt. That goal from Medlock has got to be a strong contender for goal of the season, what a hit! Onto a mst won on Tuesday to put us into the top 5, but let's try and get the game on first!
Really good job guys with the HUFC Live as well, was an enjoyable and great way to follow the game.
Very good performance by you guys at the weekend, fully deserved to take the 3 points although the wheels have well and truly come off with GFC at the moment. Always easy to have a go at the officials but when the linesman confuses a lion with a player you have to wonder what he's doing there! Whilst wishing you all the best for the rest of the season I'll be disappointed if we lose you from the league as a trip to The Pilot Field is a good day out with a warm welcome. One thing I don't understand is although our matches at your place are always supported very few Hastings supporters come in the bar after the game, is there any reason for this
Its often been like that to be honest, not really sure why, presume the majority of fans drive to games here and cant drink. lots of different things have been tried ( beer offers in programme, BT Sport etc ) but nothing has really worked. Probably better if others on here can say why they dont attend after normally.
