After the 95th minute winner against Whitstable Town we will have another away game ; it is now against
Bridges are currently the number 15th in the table; played 29 games and got 41 points.
They scored 38 and conceded 39 goals. Top scorer with 6 goals: Sam MacVicar.
Last season we drew at home 2-2 ( goals Brinkhurst and Hassan ) and lost away 3-2 ( goals Adams and Bankhole ) In both games MacVicar scored.
Three Bridges play at : Jubilee Walk, Crawley
And we? Looking at the table we might be in a play off place it we win this game. After the hard worked but deserved win against Whitstable we face a team who is a bit struggling. Lost at home Saturday against Molesey 0-2 without MacVicar.
Teams without confidence you must attack them from minute one on. Hopefully Razor will make another great game
Hopefully a lot of Hastings United supporters will make the trip and all have a safe journey !
So hopefully we can put in another good performance like we did in the second half against Tooting and also get '' revenge '' for our home defeat ( 0-1 ) weeks ago.
Without doubt. I think he has become a mainstay of the team and has produced some sublime football this season. Add the consistency of Simon and Sam A and we have a midfield trio that will take us to the playoffs.
Clubs would then loose valuable income no matter how small a gate they get. Unlike cup games where gate receipts are shared they would be penalised financially. I accept that it's frustrating but you have to look at the bigger picture, it could have a damning effect on clubs that are not so well off if it happened a few times a season.
Yes but perhaps then some of the money directed at players, could be directed at paying 2/3 people to work on the ground the night before or the day of the game. If this game is off it is a disgrace, the fact it needs an inspection is bad enough.
We were only talking about Whitstables pitch last night. Quite possibly the worse pitch at this level but as you say they try hard to get game son and often succeed.
The defence has gone absent ironically we probably have had the best of a poor game, but defending is woeful. We can still get something from this but we can't concede again
What a huge disappointment yet again. You just need to look at the bench again to see where one of the biggest problems lie. One or two suspensions or injuries and we look very average. Really surprised that after all the money we have spent this season we didn't get a bit more quality In as we hit the back end of the season. With the games coming thick and fast, the squad is looking desperately thin with a real lack of quality in reserve.
Ok..it looks like another spirited fightback but 6 points now dropped to Three Bridges is hardly a great start to our promotion push. Seems as soon as the play off places are in reach we blow it against inferior opponents.
Suddenly a win on Saturday at one of out least favourite venues looks rather important.
not end of world but disappointed and a team not doing well recently has done double over us in 3 weeks. Like john says the bench tonight it looks very weak. has to much money be spent and nothing left to strengthen now at important time and with still 2 game a week think we need to add some quality especially in defence. time to get 3 points in guernsey for a change and they are not doing well at moment
We were poor, defending woeful, Three Bridges were poor , pitch was poor, and if their was a competition for the biggest whinger on the Planet their No.3 would win it, non stop.
the fact remains however ,that we are not good enough,it's as simple as that . We should be hammering teams like Three Bridges.
One other thing, our supporter Peter High was taken unwell. An ambulance took him to the East Surrey Hospital.I' m sure that all supporters wish him a speedy recovery.
I think your comment puts everything into perspective Phil, disappointed but when all said and done lets spare a thought for Peter High. Get well soon Peter, speedy recovery.
Hugely frustrating - that game was lost in that crazy 15 minutes in the 1st half when we let in three. Simon Johnson didn't play - he quite possibly didn't mind that too much as that pitch was horrendous down the flanks. But it was good to see Sam Cole back and credit United for making a decent game of it in the end and producing a good 20 minute spell in the second half when they got back to 2-3 and had decent chances to get a point. And credit 3 Bridges for putting away their chances in that manic 15 minutes - but we gave away at least one of them.
Not sure what the Johnson situation is - talk of it being a problem Achilles which is what Zac had? And look how long that took to put right.
If promotion was won properly - like the top two going up, we would probably, deservedly be out of the running with 11 defeats before the end of February - but the play offs offer United a crack at it - and I still think they'll get in the top five - but if they do, which United will turn up?
Is`nt anyone worried, that IF we finish in the play-offs and IF we get promotion, what happens next season,
we can`t beat teams in the bottom 1/3rd of this leaque, what is going to happen when we meet Folkestone?
I remember just two seasons ago when we were playing them in the play-offs and were unlucky to lose, now they are 25 points ahead of us, and that is just them, what the other teams up there that we will come across. I am not sure if I want to get promotion this season just to have the agony of coming strait back down again.
No not really worried as will worry about that only IF we get there. With non contract and 1 year contract players squads all over the leagues change hugely over preseason at this level and most clubs often change 50% or so of their playing squad as players move around to pick up a few extra quid here or there. Being 1 step higher would interest more players and also allow us better loanees ( I think we've done very well to pick up the level of the ones we have had in the last few weeks tbh )
But not something I would even start to think about until we're actually in that position.
