After the 5-2 win against East Grindstead Town we are now up for a trip to WhitstableTown.jpg

Whitstable Town are currently the number 24 and last in the table. Played 30 games and got 14 points.

Scored 33 and conceded 79 goals. They got 4 points out of their last 3 games with a win over Herne Bay and a draw against Tooting.

Stuart King is the striker from Faversham which they signed last week and scored 1 goal against Tooting.

We will also meet a old Hastings player: Taser Hassan.

The Oystermen play at: The Belmont Ground, Whitstable Belmont-No-8.jpg

And we? Think we needed the win against EGT and also to regain some confidence. Some good goals ( a beauty from SamCruttwell.jpg)

Will be a tough match because Whitstable are a lot of points behind from a safe place in the table and also for them every game is a final now. But despite the latest newcomers at Whitstable we have to win this game. Hope a lot of supporters will turn up for this game ( I will ) and hope you all have a safe journey !

COYU'sssssss!

This will not be an easy game despite their league position. Stuart King has already scored a hattrick against us this season and in Wayne Wilson they have one of the best exponents of free kick taking you will ever see at any level of football. Always used to look at the Faversham game highlights on their site and this guy is amazing. I am sure the management team have already noted this and finally worked on defending set pieces.

I've not been told that a pitch inspection is due but of course that may change tomorrow if the temperature drops that dramatically. Obviously as always I will update on here plus keep an eye on the official website and Twitter feed.

Great result and a good hard working effort all round, on a pitch that made the bulverhythe look like Wembley. Special mention to Dan who should be proud of himself for his performance.

i say i say i say nearly every one on hear was saying goalkeeper we don'tneed one everyone raving now
we were playing the bottom side in this league. 89 minute win ok but lets get things into perspective we need
to beat the better sides or games like this mean didley sh*t !

Make no mistake Doeboy, they didn't play like they were bottom of the league. Yes the pitch was poor and yes we were poor in the first half, but they gave it a right good go. Sometimes you need luck on your side too, which is something we haven't had for a long while, but we found some today!

People aren't saying we don't need a keeper, 17 is too young too play consistently in goal at senior level, what we are all saying I believe is that Dan played well and deserves credit for his short notice performance.

yes i know any side in the bottom half of this league will give problems to the so called better sides
but its up to the better sides to work that out that is why we are still in this div.
we came down and rubbish this league. it's a mother to get out of. as we have found out.
good manager ? i mean manager ? players who play for the right (REASONS).

Two things.
firstly all I'm saying is well done to Dan Rose, nothing else!!!!
Personally I believe that we have three good keepers already, Pelling, Cruttwell and Master Rose.

Secondly I would like to wishLenny the lion a happy 60th  birthday.

Many thanks Chris although I think your original post was somewhat a minor slip on your keyboard. We shall be having words. 😂

Good posts on the Whitstable game. Wasn't there but the result and the performance of Dan must be big plusses. Doeboy must be right when he says Hastings United needs players who want to play for the club for the right reasons and that doesn't mean money. Hopefully the majority of our squad will stay with us for next season regardless if they get a better offer elsewhere. The club has a part to play here as they have to make Hastings a team players want to play for and this is more than just offering more money. It has to be about creating a good team spirit and looking after and treating players well.
A big week coming up for Hastings-Three Bridges away and Guernsey home. $ points would be very useful from these 2 games-6 absolutely brilliant!

After a great weekend out with first a crucial win over Whitstable and then a great party at TPF to celebrate Lenny's 50 th Birthday! Very nice to catch up with old familiar faces!

Because I miss JohnW analysis I will try to do this about this game on a pitch which was surely postponed in Holland.
Hastings started as the better side with Medlock as a lonely striker because it looked we started in a 4-5-1 line-up.
Nothing much happened although HU seems the club who would score first. I think after 35 minutes the really first chance for the home team ended in a good goal by Sturat King, by far their best player. Keeper Dan Rose had a great save and we were lucky because they shot also against the bar.
The second half HU started different with Sam Adams playing deeper and as a team they were much more agressive in the right way. But still we needed to be alert at our defence because there where some fast outbreaks in which Dan Rose had another great save. But - nothing else what I read from JohnW reports - it was a different half like many before. HU put a lot of energy in the game and deservedly levelled by Sam Adams with a low shot in the corner. And our last corner of the game was a perfect one fro Sam Adams and Razor headed superb in the winner.

2 things I wanted to add. 1. You play against the bottom team; you had to start this game like you did the second half.

And second on a very positive note: the joy the whole team showed after the 95th minute and running to the Dug Out was a very positive sign ! they were very happy and so were the travelling HU supporters.
MOTH for me Billy Medlock who is for 90 minutes a threat for every defence but not a lonely striker; he must have a striker nearby. Second Razor with a beautiful header but even more because he was a huge rock in defense. And third young Dan Rose who did a very fine job with 2 great saves.

I think in a very cold Withstable players and staff and travelling supporters were happy with the result and second half performance.
