who decides that kick off for Guernsey is 1pm is it league or club decision. it not been early kick off before so why now. work til 2pm on saturday so now i cant make game and important game to. gutted. think it is bad football is all about saturday 3pm
yes i see that in program Lenny but not been like that before so dont get why now so that is why i ask who decided and was it league that decide kick off time. why is it our problem if guernsey have to stay overnight. they want to play in the league and they should know football is saturday 3pm
I think my reply does say that it was decided by both clubs Peter. Guernsey always ask for an earlier kick off for all away fixtures. If the away club agrees then the kick off time is moved, with the approval of the league. I agree in your response that if they want to play in this league then they should have to be prepared to put up with any difficulties that come with that. My personal opinion is that they are "bowed" to a lot and the novelty of an away trip to Guernsey has worn a bit thin compared to the first trip two seasons ago, however it must be pointed out that Guernsey have also accommodated us this year with an earlier kick off to allow us to avoid an overnight stay which is why our fixtures kick off has been brought forward. It's a bit of one good turn deserves another.
Lenny understand what you say and hope all our players can do early kick off think Sam Adams works Saturday mornings sometimes. and remember reading it costs guernsey money cos think they have to pay clubs when the club stay overnight in guernsey so look like it is not one turn deserves another more like guernsey get what they want to suit them. gutted cant make game anyway but hope we get 3 pts so they dont get there with with everthing
They do indeed have to pay for accommodation Peter and would obviously be very happy to shift the kick off where ever possible however you have to remember they have to plan their kick offs around the Rugby club as they take priority over the use of the pitch. I understand what you are saying re they'd be happy to not pay for a hotel but I'm sure that it suits us to be able to come back the same day too.
