After our Cup defeat we are back in the League against HerneBay.jpg

Herne Bay are currently the number 7 in the table with 39 points out of 21 games. Good goal difference + 18 goals.

They are the team in form; they won 5 and drew 1 in their last 6 matches for the League and conceded only 1 goal.

Last season we won both games: away 0-2 ( goals Hassan and Farmer ) and at home 1-0 ( goal Bankole )

And we? This will be a tough contest against a team who has also a few games in hand; if they win 2 games they are on place 3 in the table. Hastings United has at least 5 or 6 games in hand. 18 points maximum if we win those games and we will be second in the table. But if and maybe at least you can say this is not optimal for the team.

Hope the weather forecast is not too bad otherwise the situation above mentioned will be not better......

But come on supporters make the trip to TPF and support the team 100%.

COYU'sssssssssssssss!

Don't think many supporters will be at the Pilot Field, it's an away game

Last game for Walder Steve, he will be available for Tuesday's cup game at Worthing. Cole is back to full training and I believe Zac may have had a run out with the u21s this week, so the enforced break may just have helped us out despite everyone's concerns.

First half pretty even, right up to the first goal. Second half we were poor, not a lot of ideas ,very scrappy.
As for the referee I shall let those with a greater command of the English language describe his performance.

It was always going to be a tough ask to get a win there today giving the length of time they haven't conceded a goal for but having said that I thought we just edged being the better team in the first half and was unlucky to go in a goal down which was their only chance of the half, I think we switched off slightly and should of defended it better but take nothing away from the lad, he took it well.
Second half we just seemed to struggle with the wind and the heavy pitch and couldn't get out of first gear. I don't think I've seen a poorer refereeing display all season, it was shocking to say the least, he was bad for both sides but even the Herne Bay board members said that he was giving them more of the contentious decisions than we were. I don't think we can complain about the red card Ollie was the last man and it was clear from early on that one side was going to loose a player.
Obviously no game in ten days isn't ideal but hopefully we can get back to an improved performance on Tuesday.

Agree with Barrie, poor second half in particular and think the late first half goal knocked us out of our stride & we didn't recover well at all. Ref was shocking indeed but not the prime reason we lost. Need a good reaction on Tuesday.

agree ref was not great but we wasnt either second half and dont think any decision cost us that he made. a even match first half and quite dull over all the game play in difficult condition with wind and the pitch not great. think herne bay look stronger and cope with conditions better and if we cant cope with these conditions then we might find it difficult next 3 month with heavy pitchs. think pells is one of our best players but he gets chipped far to much for me and that was a kick just before half time to go in 1 down but another problem so much with our side is we only play 1 half and today happen again. another tough game on saturday againt ramsgate.
