After the win against  Thatcham Town we are back for a league game against DorkingWanderers.png

The newcomers in the league as they were Sussex County League Division One runners-up last year are currently

the number 2 in the table. They played 8 games, won 5 and drew 3. With Folkestone the only team with no loss this season.

Absolute start of the team is Tom Tolfrey with already 8 goals.

They play at : Westhumble Community Ground , London Road, Dorking,Surrey.

And we? After the win last Saturday there were some discussions about the way we play; the first games of the season it seems we were playing a more passing game then the last ones which looks like a more long ball contest. Can the 2 upfront work together and maybe more who will or must be our new captain as Jack Walder  was sent off the last game. Looks to me Sean Ray or Sam Adams are the candidates.

It will be a big test against a team who you can honestly say has a great start of the season. Hope a lot of HU supporters will make the trip, have a safe journey and hopefully we get a good result. COYU'ssssssssssssssss!

Great start to the season they've had, but so did Crawley Down Gatwick a couple of years ago, then look what happened. This could be a tough test as Sam Cole serves his final game of his suspension. Hope we can bring home the three points..

Crawley took a nose dive as soon as they went out of the FA cup and subsequently they cut their budget. Almost every club takes into consideration a good cup run when planning their budget I think I heard that they do have a bit of money but are now out of the cup too. This will be a tough game but I believe we've played the best team in the league twice and if we can put in the performance like we did against Folkestone last Tuesday night we should get something from the game.

Worthing v Dorking has just been abandoned after 38mins due to floodlight failure. The score was 1-1. Wonder if Gary and Danny were there tonight.

The reason the team wasn't training Peter was because they're training tonight.

I've got to say I don't think Dorking where as good as their league position would have you believe. They almost always seemed to rely on the ball punted deep into our half from the keeper. Their goal seemed to me to come after our players stopped waiting for a penalty to be given, only for the push in the back not to be given and the player to roll the ball into the net. Then came the time wasting which was blatant for all to see. Let's make no qualms about this I couldn't see us getting anything from the game, we gave the ball away cheaply lacked any clear cut chances until Crutts superb 25 yard strike when all of a sudden we looked like we believed we'd get all three points. Overall a good result, it wasn't pretty but I'll take that, no attempts on target and a 2-1 win. 😂

Forgot to mention a lovely ground and great hospitality, I wonder what their new ground will look like?

yes Lenny a great setting like our Pilot Field and beautiful ground and very friendly people. The game like you did not see us winning until Crutwell hit that strike. Think Dorking play to there strengths and not like us they stick to it where we change our line up and formation and do not look a settle side but the equaliser sudden gave us belief and think we look like the only team that would win in end. welcome 3 points but still so much a work in progress and think only way we can improve is by playing a settled side and settle formation and not keep making changes

No selfies of my fall were taken. Fortunately neither Dan or Sky Sports were filming the game, so no footage of this incident exists! Thank you for your concern, I am fine.

Pleased to hear it, although I do feel with Dan not filming the game an opportunity to line your pocket by £250 has gone begging from the potential you've been framed appearance. 😂
