The Club will be hosting a Fans' Forum event in the Clubhouse at the Pilot Field on Friday, July 17, starting at 7.30pm, the day before United's pre-season season friendly campaign gets underway at home to Kingstonian.
Supporters are invited to come along and put questions to the U's new management duo, Garry Wilson and Danny Bloor, while the Board of Directors will also be in attendance.
Several new appointments have recently been made to United's volunteer workforce and the Club would like to thank the following individuals who have agreed to take on roles behind the scenes.
Allan Duffy has stepped into the Health & Safety Officer role vacated by Simon Rudkins and has immediately identified the need to take on a couple of additional stewards. Anyone interested in joining the team should please contact Allan directly on 07754 268680, or by email - littlegrannan@gmail.com - to discuss the matter in more detail.
Roy Trunchion's former duties as Stadium Manager are to be shared going forward by Andy Thomas and Wayne Southby, while June Barry is to succeed Rose Darvill as Boardroom Manager, and Steph McCrossan will follow in the footsteps of her father Pat in becoming the new Supporters' Liaison Officer.
Admission prices have been set for United's five home pre-season fixtures, these being £5 for adults, £3 for concessions, while under 18s will be entitled to free entry, in line with the Club's new ticket pricing policy.
Looking forward to this tonight, feels like the season has now started! we should find out a few more names of players involved etc im sure and how Gary and Danny will try to use them!
Kicks off at 7.30pm tonight and bar will be open. Hope lots of fans come along!
Not an awful lot to get excited about in the Observer today regarding new signings. We look even lighter in midfield and up front then we did last year so hopefully some good news coming on signings in those positions in particular.
I completely agree John; I am particularly worried that it's quite unclear at the moment where goals might come from. But, as I and others have said, it's for the management team to make the choices and do it their way; let's hope though that they are able to give us some pointers to their thinking tonight.
bit pessimistic John hope you are no turning grumpy. still 3 weeks to go and sure players that dont make it a higher clubs come avaialble and manager like wilson should have his finger on the pulse but yes agree we look less creative than last year. cant get a pass from her indoors for tonight and tomorrow. will someone be doing a highights of what is said tonight or video ?
Blimey Dan, a man of many talents......at the moment you are top of the leader board at the Open and then you are travelling 400 miles to film the Forum. where do you get the energy?
