After the great win against Herne Bay we will now meet for the most crucial game of this season
The Rams are currently on place 22 in the table. Played 41 games got 40 points, won 11, drew 7 and lost 23. Scored 51 goals and conceded 79.
They have one game in hand against Guernsey ( April 14th)
Ramsgate won their last 2 home games ( Casuals 1-0 and Worthing 3-2 ) In their win against Worthing they played 88 minutes with 10 men...... Also their last away game they won surprisingly 0-2 against Merstham.
And we ? After the great result against Herne Bay we are in now up for i think a match which will be crucial. East Grindstead won their last 2 matches and seems to have an easy rest program. Redhill and Horsham are imo the 2 teams who will relegate so for the third spot it will be them or us.
With the return of Josh Jirbandey ( picture Terry Blackman ) we looked very solid in defense and hopefully Sam Adams can be back in the squad. Hopefully a lot of supporters will make the trip for the biggest contest this season.
Bert: A good analysis as always. I too suspect that East Grinstead are on a run and will escape; and that Horsham and Redhill are likely down. So if it is to be between us and Ramsgate for the third relegation spot, tomorrow's game is of utmost importance because it will define how many points we will likely need from the three games which follow. If we win we will be four points and goal difference above Ramsgate - not safe, but probably only three points or less away from safety. If we lose, we are not down and out, but Ramsgate will be two points ahead of us again and we will almost certainly need to win at least two of the games which remain. In these kind of scenarios there might be a temptation to play for a point. I don't like that. So often it backfires when a goal is conceded and attacking momentum cannot be rekindled.

agree with Geoff,we need to go into the game with a must win mentality.Defeat in this game and other games possibly going against us will be very costly.I think the pressure is really on us to win this one.Still not sure where goals will come from though
Worst than that Geoff, Ramsgate will be 2 points ahead and a game in hand, but it is crucial that if we drop into the relegation zone, we must finish 22nd, as the word has it only 2 will possibly go down !
Good point Pepper. Regarding only two going down, I hope we don't need to rely on that but of course I'm sure we would all take any reprieve. Am I right that Dorking Wanderers and Ashford Town would be eligible for promotion? What is the situation regarding a third promotee from County level?
It looks odds on that Horsham will replace Dorking in the old Sussex County league. If we should go down will we be likely to go into the Southern Counties East (same as Crowborough) as we will be the most Easterly club?
Fantastic result once again for the boys today. On a poor pitch and windy conditions Hastings pretty much dominated a very poor Ramsgate team from around the 20th minute until the end of the game. Josh had very little to do all game and with some better shooting and an out and out striker, we really could and should have won by four or five. Despite this, Sammy Adams lead the line admirably and worked his socks off, scoring a deserved winner ten minutes from time with a beautiful volley across the goal from a long cross from the excellent Steve Brinkhurst. Other stand out performances were a well overdue one from Timmy O in the centre and once again Razor (My MOM) and JJ were magnificent and barely put a foot wrong all afternoon. It wasn't a classic and the quality of football was average, but we did dominate and thoroughly deserved the win. The big thing for me though was the effort once again. The lads ran their sock off from beginning to end and that is all us fans ask for. I thought NK had the team set up perfectly today and his tactics were spot on so well done to all today. One more win next Saturday and I think we will be safe. A good day and well worth the long drive.
Back to back wins with clean sheets. Superb. Although we've still lots to do, at last there's some spirit and optimism to be seen. There's a big difference already from 2 weeks ago. Now let's finish the job and stay up.
Couldn't be there today but was in spirit. Well done to all, looking better now. Let's hope we get another three points at South Park. See you all there on Saturday.
The reaction on the players and Management teams faces was a picture, it was obvious to each and every one of them how important that game was. As john said not a classic game of football but it was certainly an entertaining one, a game where every player paid their part. Razor and JJ were immense at the heart of defence and protected Josh well, limiting Ramsgate to a handful of chances. Fraser really is showing how much he brings to the side as does Marlon, his experience and little touches of skill really add a good option to the wing. Brinky had a solid game and was unlucky to score with that sublime volley. I thought Turner had a good second half and made an important block late on.
Over all a good performance and a very valuable 3 points. Well done boys You done us proud
Fantastic result today and indeed over the last 3 games but have to agree with Overthehill that there is still a lot to do.Just shows how bad things were, having just got these great results but still very much facing the drop.Three difficult games to go but a little bit of light at the end of the tunnel.COYU's
A wonderful result! Yes, but as others have said, there is still work to do. I would really like to see us safe before the final game - because results on that day can always be very unpredictable. Of course it will depend on the results of others, but I think if we get four points from the next two games we might well be mathematically safe.
