After the very poor and disappointing performance against Horsham we now play TootingMitcham.jpg

They are currently the number 11 in the table with 40 games played and they got 52 points.

They won 13, drew 13 and lost 14. Scored 68 and conceded 59 goals.

Tooting play at : KNK Stadium, Imperial Fields, Bishopsford Road,Morden, Surrey cache_2450276505.jpg

Back in September we lost at home 0-3.

And Hastings United ? After what we saw last Saturday we need a miracle; not only by our own performance but also with the help of the surrounding teams in the table. Hopefully the squad will be strengthen this week because we have no much strikers available anymore. Think we need a quick response from all those responsible !

Hopefully the team will be supported by many fans !

Come on your U'sssssssssssssssssssssss!

I won't be there; but I salute those who will and I hope - goodness knows how - we get a point out of this. (It seems almost laughable to even dream we might get that after last week's effort.)

Rose now sent off. More suspensions and Caley possibly out for season.

1-1, we'll take a point but should have been so much more. The squad now looking desperately thin, at the back as well as up front.

Much better although we should have been two up before they got their penalty. Crutts missed a sitter on the six yard line with an open goal but to be fair to him it was an awful bounce just before he tried to connect. Their keeper then makes s world class save with his face . Tooting down to ten - it all looked rosy. Then after 20 minutes we let them push us further and further back and the penalty came and we go in a goal down when we should have been two up. Second half - poor start with Tooting pushing us back further. Scrappy game then with Tooting players going down all over the place with accompanying outrage from their bench and supporters and the ref buys it every time. We got more forward in the last ten and scored with a beautiful looping header from Tyrell. Better effort and commitment from everyone. Couldn't argue with our red either. Twice Rose was left lunging into a tackle when the ball had already gone. New lad from Cray had a good game as did Bankole and Logan. Another good strong display from Razor so a point a fair result. Not a spectacle but a very important point and finally some passion !

Very valuable point there today, I thought that from the start we would get all three points and when they went down to 10 men I would of put money on it. How wrong was I? I thought Fraser was superb giving that was his first game for weeks he absolutely ran his socks off and showed passion. We really have missed what he brings to a game. Razor as always gave 100%, Bankole did well but we're now without Ade until the last game of the season so we really do need an out and out striker, we've been saying this all season without any joy so I'm not really sure why I'm repeating it, maybe just wishful thinking?
I thought like Pat they tried to con the ref at every opportunity and unfortunately he bought it, I will say that I thought that they were really poor and maybe we just edged it overall, might of been a different performance from them if they had 11 but then again we were on top before the sending off.

Sounds like an improved performance which all involved must take some credit for and certainly a valuable point but perhaps at a cost with the injury to Caley and the red card. Anyone know which games Ade and Richard Rose will miss?

Yeah, well done to the guys today. The teams below us appear to be completely incapable of taking advantage of our poor form. I have given NK a lot of stick and a lot of it deserved in my opinion and still not sure he's the right man, but it is clear he is here until the end of the season so it is counter productive going on. He will have my full support now and I just prey he can somehow pull us out of this s##t. If we can get a point against Herne Bay we then go into two massive games against Ramsgate, off the back of games against Burgess Hill and Merstham, and the current whipping boys, South Park. I still believe ......just, but we need a committed Sam Adams and a striker to see us through. We really need to raise the roof at the next home game!

Tooting fans reaction on their forum show how hard our boys must have been fighting!

'T&M 1 Hastings Hackers 1
How I hope Hastings go down. A nasty, thuggish, mouthy team. And how they finished with as many as ten players on the field only the spineless ref can know. An afternoon to forget'

Glad we're not rolling over again after the Horsham game!

Where did that Patterson play in the end? As a forward?

Laughable from Tooting. Everytime we got close to a player - down he went and rolled over play acting again and again. ( this was accompanied by howls of outrage from the home support every time). Ref lost control of it completely . Their number ten then decides to take ages to put on his shoe and wonders why it kicks off. I'm not going to get into a silly tit for tat with them over that. We weren't perfect but their time wasting was embarrassing .

We commented that with about 6 minutes on the clock they started taking the ball in the corner. What I find more laughable was that the referees accessor thought the referee had a good game. Rosie deserved to be sent off he made two rash challenges but in all honesty I didn't think anyone else did. I may be wrong But I thought Turner went off fot tactical reasons as we then went to three at the back. Caley has damaged his calf and needs to see a speacilist I believe tomorrow, at first from where I was sitting it looked like he'd broken his leg, thankfully that wasn't the case but his leg didn't look right.
I think that Tootings league position flatters them somewhat. Was it me or did anyone else think that considering their striker has scored getting on towards 30 goals this season he didn't look that prolific? Maybe he had a poor day, maybe Razor did a great job on him? obviously his record doesn't lie and would be great to have someone like that with us.

I think their reaction to Razor said it all. He kept their striker out of the game for long periods. Often the case that behind all the boos and derision that he got towards the end -there is a longing to have a player of his calibre and passion in their team. The best thing about yesterday was the passion we showed. Long may it continue.

Sounds like we played more like we should have been doing all season yesterday. Wish I had been there to see it! Worrying about all these injuries and suspensions though. Well done guys for putting in a good solid performance and Razor is just amazing with his effort and commitment every time. No wonder tooting were jealous Lets hope we can show passion and solidarity like that for the rest of the season now

Amazing what a point can do to lift the gloom and raise morale....particularly after the low of last weeks defeat against Horshan. I do believe we have got enough in the tank to survive....sounds like something is working to get passion into the performance....wonder if sammy adams will be back next week as we sure need him now!

I do think Sammy being there yesterday would of added a bit more grit to the midfield. I just hope we can take a bit of confidence from that point, don't get me wrong it was nowhere near the performance we had at Guernsey but if we can scrap at least 1 point from the tougher games and 3 points from Ramsgate for the rest of the season I'll be happy. Unfortunately we don't seem to be able to put two solid performances together in a row. We must take the positive though a point is valuable right now.

I have just stopped laughing at the antics of the Tooting players. They would have won a clutch of Oscars with that performance. Our boys did well and fought for the lub. Razor was immense again and Ole Bankole must have trod on every blade of grass. Shame not to get a win but their keeper made two class saves, no wonder there was a league scout looking at him. Tyrell's goal was a well taken header and I wonder if we will try him up front. Patterson did well first on the left then in midfield looks a good addition to the squad. If we keep this level of effort and get a bit more of the rub of the green I think we will be safe.

A great bit of camera work from Scott White yesterday catching that save with the face from the Tooting keeper someone said about in an earlier post.

Even with his face it was a great save. Poor sod had a lot of blood in his mouth. Hope he is not too sore this morning . He definitely took one for the team there.
