With just 7 points separating 9 clubs at the bottom of the Ryman South, February could be the defining month for many clubs. Hastings appear to have a difficult month keeping in mind our dreadful home record. With tough away games coming up against Folkestone and Guernsey as well as a home game against the 3rd best away record in the league, namely Whyteleafe. The Three Bridges and Corinthian home games are absolute must wins, the Three Bridges game made all the more difficult with the return of Crellin and Whitehead to the Pilot Field.
Make what you like of the fixtures below but defeat against Three Bridges and the remaining results going to form, it is not impossible we could find ourselves bottom come March. At the same time, 7 points from our 3 home games and a point from our away games and we could well be clear of the drop. Horsham, Redhill and Corinthian appear to have a equally tough month.

Huge month. I spoke to Nigel on the phone this morning and he also said we have to start winning games and the teams below us, and around us, are obviously also starting to pick up points.
John mentions our dreadful home record - we haven't been leading at half time at home once this season - we've always been behind or drawing. We were winning at half time on Saturday and like FatherXmas has said, if we play like we did on Saturday, we should be okay.
We've been in discussions with two possible new players, one of which we've put in a 7-day transfer for, he's at Hythe at the moment and just come back from injury - it's in this weeks paper. I don't know who the other one is.
Spoke to some Hythe officials on New Years day and they said they could not understand what had happened to Dave Cook. He left Hythe as a free scoring midfielder but returned 'shot to bits' and has never recovered, either his form or confidence. Not sure if that says something about Dave Cook or more about our club!
