After the first defeat in the FA Cup Trophy last Saturday under Dom di Paola we will now meet Whyteleafe.jpg

It is the second time that we will play them; the first was on 13-09 when we beat them in the FA Cup 2-1 after 0-1 down.

Sam Adams and Ade Olorunda were the scorers that day on the 3G pitch on Church Road Whyteleafe-FC-ground.jpg

Now Whyteleafe are in the table after leaders Burgess Hill on the second place; 16 played and 30 points. Their last defeat was on 23-09 against Horsham 3-4 and from the last 7 games they won 5 and drew 2.

And we? After 2 good wins we lost against Gray last Saturday after - reading all the reports - not a good game from us. Therefor it is important that we first play some decent football, second hopefully we get a result and third Dom and his staff  need the time to shape the team. It is only 5 weeks ago but then we played with King,Sawyer,Cook and Bankole. The rumors are still that we will have some new faces soon in the squad so like Dom said at Christmas we know more about the progress in the team. Dom former club East Preston seems to have big trouble; the website is very ''quiet ''; results are not mentioned anymore; their game against Arundel on 14-10 was cancelled because they hadn't enough players and  also the goalkeeper has left.

Hope like the first match a lot of Hastings supporters will make the trip and see a team that will give 100%. Come on your U'ssssss!

Yes fair but we missed a sitter late on. Josh also made a couple of top class saves. It was a decent 0-0 though with both sides playing good football at times

Think we just edged it and in the final 15 minutes we looked like the only side that would be winning it. Our first half disallowed goal should of stood, never offside. I really think the officials are poor this season, stopping play when an advantage could be played and then allowing play to carry on when clearly the play should be stopped. The linesman on the far side was more interested in chatting to us in the first half rather than concentrating on his job and I hasten to add he was the one starting the conversation.
I really think we are playing some decent football now, I can't recall a long ball in the last three games, the football is really enjoyable to watch, chatting with Dom after he said that we're still about 5 games away from where he would like us to playing wise. I feel we really have more good stuff to come. Shelley looks a real goal threat, Keehan runs his socks off and a very similar player to Sammy Adams, with those two engines in midfield can only help dictate the midfield.
Very pleased with today's performance a goal would of been the icing on the cake but to keep our first clean sheet in months and draw against the third place side was a huge step in the right direction.

good game even when no goals we passed it well at times and somehow could not score in second half. not many chances forst half but think the goal just before half time look well onside and not off. new players look promising but hope i think it boswell can be more compose in front of goal when he had 2 good chances. enjoyable game probably better football than fa cup game. good 2 saves from josh second half and good to have clean sheet.

I didn't go today, but it's very pleasing to read these positive comments and to get a valuable away point. Just a pity to have to wait so long for the next home game!

Whyteleafe fans seem happy enough with their point on their forum, praising us a fair bit.
