Generally sorry to see Terry go i will just say, but the show must go on!! Just wanted to hear what possible managers everyone thinks could be become available? I have a few in mind, some very ambitious in thinking but im just thinking aloud.
Dean White: Currently scout at hull, would be a great appointment imo, albeit alot of money to move him from his full time proffesional job at Hull.
Nicky Forster: Not sure where currently at? last job was at Dover and did a half decent job i believe.
Tommy Warrilow: Former Tonbridge Angels boss, currently scouting for Ebbsfleet, did get angels up to conference south but did getthem relegated last season.
Nigel Kane : Got us promoted via playoffs a fews years back, hoping he would be able to bring his own tactics and ideas and introduce them to the squad.
Scott Price: Had a very good season with rye taking them to F.A vase quarter finals two seasons ago, again helping Eastbourne utd do fantastically well in the Vase taking them to semi's, but no experience in the ryman sectors to my knowledge??
My hopeful and generally realistic choice would be Tommy Warrilow, would hopefully bring great experience down to Ryman South level, can only assume he lives in the Kent Area so hopefully travel not an issue?
Think Terry still has a role as a number 2 at. Hastings. Was it offered to him as an option. Need to consider what type of personality as manager will gel with chairman for the future. This has to be limiting factor as certain personality l types would not fit
What about bringing in Dave Willett in some capacity ( No relation to me or my brother btw ) respected locally based FA 'A' licenced tutor & coach and very authoritative?
Truly sorry things didn't work out for Terry who is one of local football's top blokes. Interesting that some on here suggest he could be an ideal 2 to the new manager which, provided he has the players on side, could well be an option.
Would be great to see Garry Wilson back but he's only been at Lewes a short time and still has much to do there. Dean White? Will surely take a lot to entice him away from his job in the top tier at Hull. Tommy Warrilow sounds the most interesting option. Did well to get Tonbridge up to Conference South and to keep them there a couple of seasons.
Warrilow for me. Hated him when he played against HTFC in his Hythe and Sittingbourne days but am prepared to overlook that. 😃
some good names said but think dean white to expensive, gary wilson not doing very well at lewes so maybe he a manager that has success at one club but cant not do at another. nigel kane i dont think is right, he has been part of very poor start to this season and no motivating from him from bench i think like chrisb says it need to be an outsider that come in and stamp his authority on team and can be respected. Warrilow is a good shout or maybe as i said in another thread simon rowland, inexperience at this level but knows local players and done well in county league and vase with eastbourne united last year.
I would like to see simon colbran here, he brings the youth through the ranks.I thought he was good at horsham, does anyone know where he is currently or isn't he anywhere?

Its easy to say bring the youth on but if it was that easy everyone would do it. We need a manager who has managed a higher level, as a large proportion of our players have played a higher level and they need to respect and work for the manager.
Think we need to concentrate on getting the best out of our senior players currently in the squad initially rather than being too concerned with bringing youth through just yet, need to get out of this league ASAP and do not think we have the luxury of developing local players over a few seasons just yet. Sams obviously the exception at the moment as has proved very capable of first team action despite not even playing in his preferred role.
I know it may sound short sighted but don't think we can afford to linger in Ryman South much longer...
Well the club made an offer "Anyone wishing to apply for the position is invited to contact Chairman, Dave Walters, at the Club as soon as possible". So there you go lads ,,, there's your chance !
'They were replaced by players Ben Judge and David Woozley with the help of John Yems, the former Fulham FC and Millwall FC coach.[10] Life started well for the trio who picked up 10 points from a possible 12. Crawley finished 18th in the division and managed to beat the drop after securing the point they needed on the final day of the season'
He was replaced when a new Chairman came in and appointed Steve Evans so sounds like a new broom effect rather than results to why he was replaced.
I'm not suggesting Ben is a candidate but sounds like he did ok before at Conference level.
In that case I'd be surprised if JohnW hasn't got his tub of Gel and his Paste ( for the cracks ) and is already on his second interview! :)
John W would make an excellent manager ,,,you wouldn't want to lose if he was in charge ...we know about that don't we Dan ? Even last night he got the best out of a bunch of street urchins and a certain old man !!
With results in charge of the supporters team such as a very unlucky 7-3 loss against Sedlescome reserves and a 10-1 hard fought defeat against Little Common thirds I think he has proved he's got the pedigree to handle a unlikely promotion battle in the Ryman South Windy, he might even teach them some new swear words as a bonus too! Lol
Plus anyone who can turn Rimsay into Peter Cech, you into Cafu and me into Soldado ( actually that ain't very good... ) gets my vote!
Reason I don't pick a name is I am not privvy to information about who has applied. I have said my criteria in earlier posts, but I will also add the person must apply and not be approached as I want someone who wants the job. There are a couple of names mentioned that I would be happy with but they have previously said they wouldn't come here.
Don't think anyone on here is privy to that information, tbh. But would be interesting to hear it is who you would like even if not that likely to come?
Dan I don't know who is available, so what is the point of just saying a name, but I can tell you now if we end up with a manager who hasn't won things in recent times, I will be negative. We hear from Simon there is a lot of interest, but we heard that last time. But in my mind we need an outsider that doesn't know any of the players personally.
just saw lewes forum and yes lot of unhappy people there. pretty poor they are and wonder if he may end up leaaving but not sure we would want him base on his record at lewes.
any one hear any rumors today?
Good evening all
So Burgess Hill and Redhill are the two Ryman South sides through to the next round.
As I mentioned before I would love to see a young manager like Mike Maher get a chance at a bigger club like ours.
I like the idea of Simon Colbran too. I don't think he had a smooth ride at Horsham. Didn't he manage Redhill before?
I don't think we would secure the Burgess Hill management too quickly as they look the most likely league winners.
Whoever gets the hot seat I'd just like to wish him the best of luck! Boy will he need it. He needs to be strong, single minded and able to invest in some more very good talented players. Three Bridges here we come, look out! Call me optimistic but I think we can dig ourselves out of this chasm with the right guy in charge.
Like i said earlier: Club did well in getting Barrie and Steve involved in this. So let's wait for a few days.
There are only a few who know. Right so.
yep agree windy if you hear it from the horses mouth and don't like it why the secret thought a forum was for sharing info, if you asked not to share it don't put half the story on as it only winds people up.

I thought that's what forums are for, winding people up, or at least that's how this one works !
I am getting a bit fed up of all this willy waving... "I know but not saying" etc. If someone thinks they know then why not say who. Unless you are a club official I see no reason why supporters don't feel they can post. Forum's are basically for old gossips like me. Everyone had an opinion when the news broke of Terry's resignation so why not say who you think the new manager is? Fear of being wrong?
This must be one of the funniest threads from a neutral viewpoint :) a load of people who know nothing ( including me ) trying to convince others they actually do or getting frustrated that they don't :)

Well not long till we find out now but hopefully Nigel & Mark and can end their tenure on a high today and hopefully there is a role for both of them here under the new man as well.
Re the other forums prediction, certainly a promising candidate But don't think it's him.

Well he's got to pick his own team but with his consent hopefully something can be found ( whether bench, DOF or youth ) or they get roles elsewhere immediately that suit.
Well not one single person either here, the other forum or through other channels named him! But looking at it does look a very exciting choice ( when & if confirmed )
lot of ITK and inside info that was well off the mark for all of us! Lol
How can the new manager be named on here before an official announcement from the club. What a joke this club is becoming. Also how can somebody post that they hope a position is found for Nigel Kane and Mark Stapley. They have just lost 3 successive games for goodness sake and by all accounts the performances in these 3 games was dreadful.
I have to agree with ChrisB and Gaz. I can't see how Nigel and Mark can be kept on within the first team set up. I am sure they would be welcomed elsewhere in the club but the new manager (whoever he is!) has to choose his staff. As for appointing one of Nigel and Mark as a Director of Football that must have been meant in jest.
I do applaud them for doing the best in a very difficult period for the club.
agree with that. also gaz has point why do we find out on here. i found out at three bridges matt whitehead dad someone said was telling everyone as he found out from east preston players. poor that we find this out from an away club. but on a positive a good choice looking at his record and hope he bring his own staff so can start fresh. good luck to him we need to start winning very soon
Timing an announcement of this type is nigh on impossible these days. For whatever reason, somebody always seems to find out before the official news is released and, with mobile technology and social media being what they are, the news just spreads so quickly, it is hopeless to think that one can react in a timely enough manner.
Much as I would love to have published the press release earlier, as soon as I learnt that the word was out, I was simply unable to do so from my seat in the stand at Three Bridges.

Sean's right, the fact no one found out till today or even put his name forward ( with info ) is a success in itself in the leaky world of non league football!
