The first friendly game of the season is against Whitehawk
Whitehawk finished 19 in the South Conference table last year and that was just 1 point above relegation.
They earned that point is a dramatic last home game against Sutton United ; the game at The Enclosed Ground, East Brighton Park ended 3-3.
For the 2013-14 season, the club intended to change it’s name to Brighton City, but this move has been put on hold for the time being.
And our Hastings United ? Starting with player of the season in the goal Josh Pelling. A almost new last line with Jamahl King, Richard Rose and Sean Ray ( back at the club where he belongs )
New are also midfielder Dave Cook and forward Ade Olorunda.
Including the injured Tom Vickers also available are last season players Sam Cruttwell, Sam Adams, Tim Olorunda , Taser Hassan and Frankie Sawyer.
So we will need some players more but i have faith that Terry White and Dave Walters will do their utmost !
Enjoy the game !

I'm really looking forward to this game, I have a feeling that we will get a win by a couple of goals. Some great signings during the closed season, I know I'm not the only one looking forward to the new season
Yes, I usualy don't bother with pre-season games but I want to go to this one to see our new signings and also to draw a line under what has been a pretty dismal sporting summer.
There was some players not signed on that looked very good potential :) Shaw looked fine at lb and the young left winger that finished game and one who partnered bailo up tops looked good
Good performance I thought against a pretty much full strength Whitehawk side who included quality players like Sergio Torres and Jake Robinson. Thought the left back Shaw looked good and Razor & King generally dominated.
Lots to be positive about after last nights game. I was impressed with the quality of the squad. Well done Terry, a lot of hard work is paying off.
Best news is we have a squad before the league fixtures have been released.
