Has agreed to stay here next season as well, another great player to retain for next season!

Can hopefully solve our LW issue in Vickers's absence as have always thought he's probably a better natural winger than LB although with the way tom played last year that was never an option. Get a solid LB in behind him and I think he'll do very well!

As a side benefit it would be nice to sign him up to a contract when he becomes eligible so if he does move on much higher we can be fairly compensated.

First time I disagree with your wording dan I'm sure it's not meant as I read it, and I apologise beforehand if not but I hope the signing of young Sam is because of the talent he obviously is and not as a business plan.the lad needs the FULL back up, encouragement and belief of all the fans, the whole management and most importantly his fellow team mates to mature into the great prospect he could and deserves to become. I'm sure the business side is not what was meant and I get your point there so please do not take this post the wrong way.

No worries Sindy, like I mentioned I would be quite happy to see him as our first choice LW so hopefully that shows how much I rate him already at 17. Have swapped my points round as the football one is of course the priority :)

I'm sure we are all in agreement that there should be no reason why Sam's development of his great potential, the team's success next season, and the club's financial interests should not all happily coincide.
