With the season now over the work continues around the ground. This summer we must finish painting the railings around the ground. Work will commence on Saturday 17th of May from 10am till 1pm, this may be extended depending on key holders commitments. If you can spare any time at all your help would be very much appreciated?
After a great start to painting the railings last week we will again be at The Pilot Field again this Saturday from 10am (weather permitting) to continue the push. Thanks to those who turned up last week to help, if we can get a few more people on top of last weekends team, over the next few weeks I'm sure we can get the railings finished in no time at all so if you could spare some time your help would be very much appreciated? Thank you in advance.
DW, Darren Cripps and myself managed to get the railings rubbed down to the half way line today ready for painting throughout the week and next weekend. A team along the size of last weekends would probably see us finish the rubbing down and the vast majority of painting. If you can spare any time next weekend your help would be very much appreciated?

Once again many thanks to all those who turned up to help today, we are now starting to get a good way along the far side and with another couple of weekends with the support we had like today we should have the railings complete. We still have a number of jobs to do around the ground and as usual we'd be very appreciative of any help anyone else can give next Saturday and throughout the remaining weeks of the summer break.
At last we have completed the painting of the railings. Many thanks to all who have helped get this tedious task completed but especially to Roy,Pat, young Joe Knight, Alan aka London Pilot and his young son Sasha who have come along the last couple of weeks to help get the final half done. We are now intending to move onto painting the facia of the main stand and once again we would appreciate any time next Saturday morning that anyone may be able to give up to help?

Yes - I echo that thanks to the few who have helped. The main stand is achievable if all those who have told me over the weeks that they will help will come in for the last few sessions before the season starts
Thanks for the mention, but unfortunately we won't be there this weekend - off to (hopefully) sunny Devon for my nephew's wedding, and spending a few days doing the tourist thing at Bath and Stonehenge en route.

I can only echo Pats comments, and of course thanks to you too Pat. Without those of you who came along most Saturdays we would never of been able to get the ground looking as good as it does right now. With just next Saturday to go it would be good to get a couple of more people along to help sweep and clean the chairs in the main stand and give the goals a bit of a clean up.

A bit of a post script to that - a big big thank you to Wayne and Andy who painted the PA Box yesterday. It looks great. I understand that young Joe was up there again too. You are all marvellous!
