After a great weekend in Hastings and making some new friends we are back to reality.
Hastings United face the current nr. 21 in the table . They are only 2 points above the relegation place but played one more game then the nr. 22 Redhill. Last Tuesday they won and scored - just like we did - 4 goals against Worthing and conceded 2. Alain Tait scored a hat-trick. The stadium is The Jubilee Field and this West Sussex side could just relegation last season after a tremendous comeback.
And Hastings : still fighting for a play -offs place or already planning for another season in this competition? After the 4 points from the last 2 home-games Terry White said after the Faversham match that he was satisfied with one point against Faversham considering he could not line-up Oluronda,Vickers,Cruttwell and Sawyer. Josh Pelling was outstanding that match and afterwards a lot of Hastings supporters thought this was his best performance for the U's ever!
So we have to see which players are available, Josh Jirbandey is back to the USA; hope many supporters will make the almost 45 mile trip.

Really valuable points! Well done all. Right on the heels of Guernsey and Folkestone now. I think we might have to get past one of those to secure a play-off place if Merstham keep winning .......
Result all that matters. Decent goals. By far the worst ground and home fans I've seen so far, dead apart from us. Surprised if there were 70 non Hastings in the ground
Good solid hours performance today, some mistakes early doors which could of been costly but then again we could of been 4 or 5 up in first twenty minutes. I'll take a scrappy 1-0 win foe then remaining fixtures this season if it gives us a decent play off place. Great to hear the drum bashing away to create a bit of atmosphere. Vickers outstanding yet again, Taser getting in some very dangerous crosses and looking a great addition to the squad. Hope both Tom and Tasers injuries aren't to serious. Kenny took his goal well. Over all a good all round performance from everyone today, well done lads, let's keep it going.
We battered them for the first 45 - Trevor missed two sitters before Vicks made it 1-0 . Unusual for Trevor . Second half starts well with Kenny making it 2 after a one on one. Then Taser is subbed as he took a knock to the head and couldn't see out of one eye. After that we lost our cutting edge and got further pegged back. They scored courtesy of a stupid own goal and we hung in for the last ten. One player off( taser) and we crumbled . That said - we should have been 4 up at HT
Always difficult games against relegation candidates battling for every point, but we are also battling for play off points.Sittingbourne looks like a stern test also, considering their result today against Guernsey.Still very concerned at the defensive line up,but that is not going to change anytime soon unless you call playing Timmy at centre back an improvement.
Well done to Peacehaven on winning the division by a country mile.Hopefully they will take their foot off the pedal and be gentle with us when we meet them.
Shame to see Eastbourne lose in the Vase.A great second half effort, with goals from MacLean and Crellin
