Signed Taser Hassan from Hythe according to Terry's tweet, very very excited about this guy. LA Galaxy, Portsmouth and Huddersfield amongst his previous clubs. Lightning quick RW. Dad is an well known actor from the Football Factory, The business, Layer Cake type films.
United boss Terry White hailed the capture of a "great signing", after confirming the arrival of Taser Hassan from Division One South rivals Hythe Town, a player whom White this week described as "one of the best two wingers in our league".
The twenty-two year old right sided wide man spent his junior career at Portsmouth and Gillingham, before earning himself a short term professional contract with then League One side Huddersfield Town in February 2010, although he was unable to secure a new deal at the end of that season.
He joined Hythe in the early stages of the 2011/12 campaign, the Kent side's debut as a Ryman League club, and helped them to an eighth place finish and a first ever Kent Senior Trophy success.
A season of eye-catching displays helped him earn an ultimately unsuccessful trial with MLS outfit LA Galaxy, where David Beckham was still plying his trade, and a full time move to Turkish lower league football, but he returned to Reachfields a few weeks into the current season, not soon enough to line up against the U's in August, although he did play the full ninety minutes in Hythe's 3-2 defeat at the Pilot Field last month.
Hassan has also shown an interest in following his father Tamer into the acting profession of late, but United supporters will be desperately hoping that he can play a starring role in propelling the U's to promotion throughout the remainder of this season, starting at Walton & Hersham tomorrow afternoon, the side against whom he coincidentally made his final appearance for Hythe on Tuesday evening.
Would love to see the moaners on here slag him off and for his dad to see it , they certainly won't be slagging off for much longer !
For you who dont know who his dad is watch the football factory, layer cake and the business then you'll soon see why we could be the next wealdscum !!!
Whilst a player with seemingly bags of potential he more often than not flatters to deceive and by all accounts is very high maintenance. Saw him play for Hythe at Ramsgate earlier in the season and at the final whistle instead of joining the hythe the players in a post game huddle he walked off, when called back by the management his dad shouted 'keep walking' so he did, not a sign of a great team player IMO.
I wouldn't place too much emphasis on an LA Galaxy 'trial' either.
He will def have good games but certainly for more very average ones, who knows maybe a fresh start is what he needs.
Let's be realistic this guy was playing for Hythe so he can't be that good, we don't need anymore players who turn up for the money. We need some who give 100% every game.
You need to give the bloke a bit of a chance Chris before saying he can't be that good. By similar logic Ross Allen is only playing for Guernsey ( playing county league football last season ) so can't be that good either..... Not saying he will be a world beater but needs to settle in and have a fair crack. Maybe the lack of success of Dolan who was considered one of their best players is colouring the view of players from Hythe.
You can't judge a player by what was witnessed on Saturday and considering it was his first game too. No excuse I know but that pitch would be put to shame by Bulverhythes pitches it was that bad, there was no way any player from either side could play football on such an excuse for a pitch and all it lent itself to was a game of long ball. On top of that not knowing anyone couldn't help. Tasser will be the first to admit he didn't have a good game, just give him a chance I'm sure he'll show what he's capable of And can produce.

I think you need to put it into context, I think what Chris (and myself were saying) is he wasnt exactly pulling up any trees at Hythe (ie our level) so is unlikely to here, in fact if you check the stats on their website he has scored 2 league goals and has 5 assists for them this season in 31 appearances (5 as sub), bear in mind he took corners and some FK's and has the lump Welford to aim for not a great return im sure you'll agree.
That said he will have the odd good game here and there but in the heat of a battle and on pitches like that at the weekend he wont be as effective as we are led to believe imo. So to say he is supposedly one of the top 2 wingers in this league ??? Do me a favour.
Ross Allen on the other hand HAS proved he is that good at this level by scoring 36 goals this season already and all the signs are he could do it at a level or two above.
All just my opinion of course which in the grand scheme of things aint worth s**t.
You obviously know a lot about him mate and you may well be proved right or not, my response was entirely just in retort to the notion from Chris that was written that if he plays for Hythe he can't be that good.
