Vickers only had himself to blame for being sent off, mouthed the referee and then applauded his booking. I didn't see McCreadie getting injured however you have to remember that the U21 squad is prodomenatly there to support the first team and tonight's game seemed to have the total opposite effect, He could of quite easily had been injured in a first team game, it's the risk you take. I agree that players of that calibre shouldn't be playing in these sort of games if its not entirely neccassary and with Corrigan having to go off itowards the end with a shoulder injury we had to finish the game with 9 players, it also leaves us a full back light if required.
I missed the game but I am sure he was given a run out as we have a blank Saturday. Game time is always preferable to training, just bad luck. I'm sure a young fellow like Trevor will make a swift recovery.
Yeah it should be Dan, giving the amount of first team players in the squad last night I'm sure your comment about a blank Saturday is true Steve. I must say though that from what I've seen so far the cover we have in case Josh Pelling is injured isn't up to the task, I didn't think Dolan did particularly well last night either.

Totally agree with Barry, complete madness. So what if we have no game on Saturday, most of these guys have been playing twice a week since August, so give them a bloody week off!! My spies tell me that the McCreadie knock could be a bad one, so what happens if Kenny get a bad knock tonight, as i am sure he will start. We are then suddenly left with no center forwards going in to the busiest and most important period of the season. I just don't get it. And just when you think Tom Vickers may have come back to us a new man he picks up a sending off and 2 yellows in his last 4 appearances. He has to change his attitude from the disaster of last season when he picked 3 reds in a handful of games. No Sean Ray to blame now!
I agree Barry if there was no need for them to play then why play them, although as I said it could of happened in a 1st team game or even training. I didn't see him go off so maybe saying it could happen in training is a bit off the mark? Trevor has a scan on Thursday and he's hopeful it's not too serious.
I'm sure John will be giving the chairman an explanation if he asks for one.
Went and watched a bit of game and never realise that mccreadie had played as only got there about 10 min before half time. Agree stupidty playing him he did not need game time and nor did other first team player who as said have had 2 game a week for ages now. can understand first team players playing if coming back fro injury or suspension not other reason. Talk about shoot self in foot not a bright move by Maggs. As to game what i saw it was utter shambolic almost chaos. players not looking interested bench not interested and no instruction or motivation being shouted onto pitch. the managers looked as bored as supporters. total embarassment
Yes it could have happened in a league game or training but it didn't it happened in an Under 21 game that he needn't have played in.

And if we could all predict the future we'd all be winning the lottery every week wouldn't we? its happened so move on Yeah it's annoying but what can we do? as I've said I agree they shouldn't be playing unless they need to, ie match fitness etc.
agree, it could have happened in a lg game but it didn't.kenny and trevor looked to be making a good strike partnership,however long trevor is out it will prop mean golng back to one up front and imo the long ball, so have to agree why was this risk taken with 1st team players.
Sadly ligament damage and looks like being out for a minimum of 4 weeks. Noticed Sam Adams limping at the end of tonights game as well and some pretty disappointing news tonight regarding Bailo, so looking very thin up top once again. Lets go out and get Billy Medlock from Eastbourne. Scored another hatrick against Guernsey tonight.
The only reason bailo wernt there was work reason couldn't get there in time he will be back but yes lets go out and get Billy medlock proven goalscorer with a **** team so with 10 decent players around him should be brilliant
