Can we stay unbeaten in our home games in the League against the nr 16 in the table Three Bridges ?

They lost their last game at home against Faversham 1-3 and Hastings win over Margate away with 3-0 makes the home side the team to put your money on !

John Maggs made some changes in the line-up for the game against Margate but normally Judge,Olorunda and McCreadie will be back in the team.I expect 412 people to watch for  another win for The U's !

390 attendance for me and a 4-0 win

McCreadie 3 and Pogue

They are bottom of the form table and not looking a good side so hoping for a really big win finally :)

Hmmmm - we all know what games like this can be - mate at work saw them at home to Faversham and said they didn't play badly and had little luck.

oh i know mate but really do think we are well overdue a decisive win ( pretty much every other decent team in the league has had at least one 4-0+ win ) and really think this could be the home match where it all comes together, the Kenny and Trevor partnership is really starting to look deadly and goals are starting to come along.

Well here goes: I reckon we will win 5-1 with Trevor getting his first hat-trick and Kenny and Irish the others. attendance 425. Just hope Tom is fit enough to play, he has really stabilised our left side.

Of course dave a wins most important but CC was an away game which we threw away at the end and just think that we will dominate at home like we did against Eastbourne. Just have to wait and see i suppose.

Dominated 2nd half against Eastbourne. Could quite easily have been losing at half time. I'm with Dave, any win will do and I think it will be 1-0. Attendance? well i'll be speaking to Pat before I have a guess.

Don't like these big win predictions. It would motivate me if I was a three bridges player reading them. (Haven't they made a few recent signings too?). If our lads go out to play thinking it will be an easy win, it won't be!

I tend to pessimism. Although we obviously have won against unfancied sides (and on occasion won well), it always seems to feel before the match that we will struggle. I wish Bailo was available; and Tom fully fit. As it is, I would happily take 2-1. As for attendance, I think 380 is a realistic guess; anything over 400 would be excellent.

Be got to agree with the pessimists amongst us here. I'd rather see a good performance and a 2-0 win and 3 points tomorrow.

I've got a good feeling about this, so 4-1 & 433 attendance.
My little boy predicts a Hastings win of 454-6 & 13 million crowd, but that might cause problems with Elf and Safety.

Guernsey at home to Sittingbourne today but with the air traffic problems they are delayed at Gatwick and game may not go ahead.

That would mean a midweek trip for them very unfair.

This situation with Guernsey cannot continue much longer they are all laughing at us it just plays into their hands. The league and FA must act surely they must be made to play on the mainland.

Santa's being given no extra work from me; I'm Orthodox and we don't do Christmas until January 7.
And personaly I think Guernsey have every right to play in whichever league they are promoted to, but it may have been more sensible for them to be included with the French FA.

Who knows, we might play a league game away to AFC Gibraltar one day!

agree London they were promoted, the fa are blame think its unfair and gives them a bit more advantage in mid week games if players cant get the extra time off so not able to play there strongest side because cant get a flight back.

Very average home performance yet again today. Dominated the first 20 minutes and really thought we would go on and win 4 or 5 nil but only had a Kenny Pogue header from 6 yards to show for our efforts. For the next 70 minutes and in particular the 2nd half we were very poor and against pretty limited opposition, could quite easily have lost the 3 points. Desperately lacked a bit of craft in midfield and the front 2 had very little service. Does anyone know why Danny Ellis is not getting a look in at the moment? Seen 5 appearances from Ronnie Dolan and he is just not doing it for me at the moment and cannot understand why he is never taken off. I understand he needs time but surely 20mins from Danny or Jordan today would have been worth it as we seemed to completely loose the center of the park.

Nevertheless, another 3 points when not playing well and still top of the league so still happy days at the Pilot Field.

I agree about Ronnie hasn't impressed me at all no better than Jordan or Danny think they both need more game time also don't think Sammy been anywhere near his best lately.

have to agree with you john boring game, and why dosnt john like making subs when its needed, and when he did today could'nt understand why take off a striker for a midfielder ,like johnw, dolan could have been subed and danny or Jordan on to run at them, like I've said will take a win at any margin but would like to be entertained by the football.

Completely agree with John. Ronnie has had plenty of game time and works hard but IMO he is not good enough. Give Jordan 5 games and see what he can do with game time under his belt. Thought the game needed subs just after half-time, can't understand Kenny getting taken off.
Got my prediction wrong but who knows what might have been if their defender hadn't made that brilliant challenge just before the break. Onward and upward.

that was poor, bright start but then nothing against a team that was not great and could easily have got a point or even won it. I dont get Dolan, seen nothing that justifies his starting place and yes why he not subbed is strange. and take off Kenny and put more in midfield and leave 1 up front against a team in relegation zone is just ridiculous.
JohnW says happy days a pilot field but i was not happy and nor were others based on that and something is missing and for top table side the players dont look happy. we are top cos this league so poor and the manager has disappointed me few signing only mccreadie looks useful and tactics with subs makes more question than answer. for me we will not finish top, we will be play off cos league so poor but then have lottery of play off. Leatherhead and peacehaven look odds on for 1st and 2nd we fight it out for play off.

Agree with all that's been said.....and we couldn't have complained if they had sneaked an equaliser. They deserved that at least. Fortunately Ben was marshalling his defence superbly and we yet again got away with a below par performance.
Thought Kenny did ok up front today and Matt was the pick of our midfield but other than that there were far too many anonymous performances.
I couldn't understand why Danny and/or Jordan weren't given a go. After the first 15 we created virtually nothing and any change can't have made things any worse. I also have to say I have yet to be impressed by Dolan and maybe this is a case of JM backing his signing above existing players. Hmmmm !
After performances like that you can't help but wonder whether our position is still slightly false....which is a crazy thought to be having in December.....surely the table can't be lying now, can it ?

If ever a game was crying out for the work rate and creativity of Danny Ellis it was that one. If he moves on because of lack of opportunities that could make Ronnie our worst signing ever..

Was actually being sarcastic Peter about the happy days at the Pilot Field, as I expected everyone to come on here saying how fantastic we were again. i can barely remember a good, dominant home performance this season and it makes a nice surprise that we are all in agreement about how poor we were. As Dave said earlier, we all want to win games and get promoted but a little bit of entertainment on the way would be nice.

Totally agree Dave. Danny Ellis was supporters player of the year for a reason. If some of the rumours floating around today are true it would be a massive blow to the club and supporters in my opinion.

Being honest 2nd half completely passed me by. No real excitement and wrong with the prediction but still top so surely a bit churlish to argue too much with that!! Would def have taken that at this time of the year with games in hand....

Was told on Tuesday both Danny and Tim were down to play against Margate but the both called very late to advise they could not make it because of work commitments. So that was Danny's chance to stake a claim could not make it so hard luck.

Both were subs today, manager making a point?

Still unsure about Dolan. Vickers looks the real deal this time let's hope the temper can be kept under control.

McCreadie off the boil a bit today but after last week's heroics fair enough.

Very poor game but got a result how many times in recent years would we have snatched defeat from the jaws of victory so I will take it all day.

I agree much of the above; but for me - although it was surprising and seemingly negative - the substitution of Kenny for Tim worked. Obviously we missed Kenny up front and the midfield still lacked creativity; but Tim held it together. He won more balls in the air in midfield in the last half an hour than the rest of the team put together. At the end of the day we got our nose in front and just about managed to hold on. Not champagne stuff but three points.

In most games I have seen this season, we have at least had a spell in the game when we have dominated and, generally, done enough to take the points.
Today's 'spell' was about as short as it's been all season (about 7 minutes) and after that they pretty well dominated us. That cannot be right against the team bottom of the form league and something MUST be radically wrong in midfield for that to happen. I'd agree with the sentiment that we DEFINITELY need to get Danny back on the pitch. Even when Danny is off the boil creatively, his sheer work rate and energy levels have a major impact on how our OPPONENTS play. With Danny and Sam in midfield, opponents often run out of steam in the last 20 minutes. Let's get those two alongside Tom and build from there.

Felt we controlled first half but struggled in the second against another side who looked better than their league position suggests. They have signed five players recently. We seem to play better away from home, but it's another three points so wecan't complain too much.

An unconvincing performance for a top of the table side-as in a number of other games. Everyone hoping/expecting Hastings to really up the pace of the game and press Bridges all over the pitch after going 1-0 up. Instead Hastings appeared content to wait and let things happen instead of really taking the game to the opposition. Not surprisingly, Three Bridges began to look a reasonable side picking up all the loose balls from an apathetic Hastings side. Don't think we have found our best combination of midfield players yet-surely Dolan and Darby are too similar to play together in the centre? Tom Vickers looks the best of our midfield and could be wasted out on the left. But the worrying lack of any left sided players was shown up again with no one able to break down the left on the outside. Surely there is a good left footed defender somewhere in the area. Guess we will be judged on our performances against Leatherhead, Peacehaven and Guernsey where we will need to raise the level of our performance.

Got to agree with 99% of what has been said, we were certainly the better team but not by much and it didn't look like a top v bottom match. Very little by way of creating chances, and certainly no midfield dominance.
Saying that, three points is three points, we're still clear at the top, and as to it being a weak division, well, so what? We can only play against what there is, the club seem to be making the choice (100% correct in my opinion) of not trying to buy our way out of the division, and if we can be top with what we have, so well and good. After the FA Cup run last season, if we now save the pennies for when and if we are promoted, it has to be the right move.
The game was, for long periods, quite boring, but, let's be fair on the team. One amazing outstretched leg at the end of the first half, a goal-line clearance in the second, two sitters missed and at least two excellent shots that were only an inch or two off. With the teeniest bit of luck we could have had five or six more goals (and yes, Three Bridges were close a couple of time as well, I know), but if we had gone in two up at half time, or early in the second period, we could well have had a goal rush and be looking at a very different story.
Top of the table, been there or thereabouts for ever, it seems, and all the discussion is whether Leatherhead or Peacehaven will take the title? Hastings are certainly not out of the running, the bookies (who know a thing or two about backing favourites) have Hastings as runaway favourites to take the title (7/4 before the Bridges game, Peacehaven at 7/2, Leatherhead 5/1).
IMO Hastings are as good as anyone in this (admittedly poor) league, probably got the best financial nest-egg if we do go up, and are only one or two decent players off being a very good side indeed - one creative midfielder, one old-fashioned number nine.
It is football to moan, but I think there is more silver lining than there is rain cloud, and hope to see Hastings improve in the next few weeks, and if they are still top come January 1st I will be reasonably confident of a top two finish at least!
