Andy Thomas and I are proud to say that we have arranged and sorted with Steve at the Elphinstone Sports Club, located next to the Pilot Filed, to show the Live Stream of the match on wednesday, via projector- we have tested the sound and picture quality and are happy with the quality, but due to the game being live it will be what it will be- which should be more than good!
This fantastic opportunity to watch the U's live also comes with great benefits which include-

Hell would freeze over before I went in there I’m afraid. Will never forgive the baiting of Canvey fans a few seasons back in my safety officer role. Nearly got hit in the face by a bottle thrown from an idiot on that balcony as we tried to restore calm.He thought it was funny, when actually it would have put me in hospital if it had connected.
Well said Pat .....I know its a good idea to set up something where people can get together to watch the game but I would never ever set foot in that place. After all the years that they have been watching our games from there for free ....they should be providing free booze let alone free entry .....Nah sorry ...will take my chances with my £2.99 that I have paid to Guernsey to watch it , hopefully , in the comfort of my own home.
I must agree, although I never witnessed the Canvey incident it's just not that isolated incident. They have prior to the threat of legal action cut the hedge so that their patrons can watch the game, posted on opponents forums prior to games "inviting" their supporters for pre match drinks and food and even cashed in on last seasons televised game. Ok the latter being beneficial to us too however they had advertised the game and had made arrangements for a function prior to being approached by ESPN.
There is a number of other places I'm sure would of been willing to host supporters and show the game.
Hi guys Wasn't aware of incidents with canvey and relations with the elphinstone On a personal note i would of preferred for the game to be shown at the pilot field but as far as i am aware their is no internet
Other venues were approached by myself and Dan without success Champions league night didn't help so
after a get together after the Eastbourne game we asked Steve at the club if we could try the link
From a personal point i just wanted to be with other U's supporters and cheer the boys on
It may work but the stream quality is out of our hands Coyu's!!
Yeah well done for organising it Andy and Dave . I wouldn't have been able to make it anyway . But the " £10 you can't afford £10 '' chant does have meaning ...all the time they allow people on their balcony on match days , the club loses out ...would be a nicer gesture if they stopped doing that on match days ...but guess that'll never happen ....enjoy the game though ...if it doesn't buffer too much
A real big thanks to the guys who organised tonight. Please don't take to heart any criticism for the choice of venue. In the end there really wasn't much choice. (And they couldn't have looked after us much better ). I appreciate that there have been past issues, but really not worth having a go at Kevin about.
Thanks Steve and thanks Dave Yeah shame we didn't get the 3points but was a great turnout
and everybody seemed to have a great night and wow wat a signal we managed to watch the
whole link without any trouble . Just wanna say a big thank you to u guys who turned up and
especially to dave for helping me organise it .Also thanks to Steve at the club for the half time
treats that were provided
Must of been at least 50 and everyone congratulated our own kev on his efforts and fine work for the club
All in all was a successful evening Shame we didn't win but onwards and upwards CYOU'S

Yeah a great effort by the organisers ,as I have said in previous posts and I do appreciate that there wasn't another option for venue .I'm just saying that as this particular venue was chosen I simply chose not to attend . Well done Kev, Andy and Dave for their efforts...I'm sure you enjoyed it as much as I did from my own sitting room . The coverage was very good and the commentators were amusing, shall we say ? But yeah I for one have not criticised any individual just the venue .I always appreciate what fans do for our club like these three guys have and I'm sure they gave some people a chance to see the U's live on tv that they may not have had at home,,,,,it's a shame the team didn't perform,,,,cheers
Big thanks to Dave and Andy for tonight was much appreciated shame the players didn't put in as much effort as the fans oh well roll on Saturday
Tut tut - the boys worked their bollocks off last night and I thought they were worth a point to be honest. Two sloppy goals conceded while the home keeper twice got away with spilling crosses and had more to do than Josh. United were up against a decent side = no denying that = but they did their best and I found it all hugely frustrating that yet again we have gifted Guernsey the two wins they have in the two encounters. Let's hope we get it right in round 3 at the Pilot Field.
What a pathetic comment stevie, as Simon said they run their nuts off, the pitch was diabolical and unless you were there you wouldn't of seen it, not one player didn't try hard. Those lads wanted to get something from that game and were undone by 2 gifted goals.
Surprised how poor the pitch was-there were some horrible bounces. Good effort from all the players, coaches, supporters to go to a lot of trouble to travel in midweek. Hope there were no work related problems for everyone. Good to get back to winning ways today.
