Its a shame that we wont be going to Guernsey Top of the Table as Walton Casuals are playing Leatherhead on Tuesday Night, but I still think we can still give a good account of ourselves and hopefully can retain top spot again on Wednesday Night.
Lol john all sorted mate We tested audio and visual and was ok We posted about it on forum and supporters page etc It is a live stream via wi-fi so all depends on the stream itself Which is out of our hands so hopefully will be ok on the night .
Any chance someone could post the link on here to the Guernsey live stream please ? Might give it ago on the night .It probably won't work ,,,whenever I've tried streaming I get a lot of buffering ,,cheers
No I will turn to dust the moment I step into that place ! )) plus im busy with stuff at home ...hope it works out alright for you guys ....a good idea if it works ...shame it's not at our own club house though
I think the absence of Kenny is a loss. Major problem seems how to stop Ross Allen, top scorer of the home club with 132 goals in 99 appearances. Hopefully Guernsey will keep this year '' record '' because they perform away much better then on home games.
Theres a comment on the Guernsey Facebook page saying that Ross Allen wont be playing on Weds.... Great news if true!
Just took this from their official website, bloody handy news that is............
Ross Allen is the major omission from the Guernsey FC squad that will host Hastings United on Wednesday night.
The team's top scorer is unavailable, but that aside, it is an unchanged GFC squad to the one that drew with Peacehaven & Telscombe at the weekend.
Squad
Chris Tardif, Tom Creed, Jacques Isabelle, Simon Geall, Angus Mackay, Sam Cochrane, Alex Le Prevost, Jamie Dodd, Ryan-Zico Black, Dom Heaume, Kieran Mahon, Tom de la la Mare, Matt Loaring, Dave Rihoy, Dave Rihoy, Marc McGrath
Weather yuk over here. 35mph limit everywhere, St Peter Port a bit like our old town. Big day whatever the result - 1st time up in the air since 79. At least half a dozen of us here. Earlier in the season so not the crucial game it might be - but still reminds me of Grantham away in 01-02, Weymouth and Buckingham in 91-92 etc etc.
Commentary from the two Guernsey supporters is hilarious. Sounds like us behind the goal they are so biased it is funny. To be honest I think Guernsey have been the better side and probably deserve to be in front. I still think we can do it as we can up our game. Come on you Us.
Guernsey played well but the ref gave them a free kick when it was clearly the other way and they scored soon after. Disappointing result and we should have made the substutions earlier.
Was impressed with Guernsey tonight. Seemed pretty quiet for 900 odd fans there, but maybe my stream just wasn't picking up much noise. Still have a game in hand on Leatherhead, huge away game Saturday now
Same old story Im afraid. Good effort but really soft second goal to give away and we didnt make an impact up front. Frustrating. That co-commentator was an idiot, otherwise i thought the coverage was good.
Poor performance...its ok beating westfield and eastbourne town 3.0 but needed to get at least a point from this game...leatherhead now in pole position......5 out of possible 12 point from last 4 games......play off contenders yes....automatic promotion...lets hope so....massive game at worthing now on saturday.
The streaming was great but the football wasn't that always.Guernsey the better side in the first half when we only gave long balls. The second half we had some decent chances but we were not 100% focused. Pelling unlucky with the 2 goals but a very safe keeper.Judge very solid on the back and i think we were a little bit overrun by their midfield. Camara and Mc Creadie had their moments but i think they could have done more. The subs did well but we need a good result now on Saturday.
Everyone saying about them missing Ross Allen what about us we was missing our top goalscorer aswell it really showed how important Kenny pogue is to us this evening. Also think let Rodrigo go to early
Whisper it quietly but in my opinion we really missed the option of having Kenny particulatly in the 2nd half closing people down quickly and stretching them, good player though Jordan is he doesnt have quite the same impact coming on as sub when that role is required.
McCreadie clearly prefers to turn and run at the defence with the ball where possible but guernsey were closing him down quickly and denying him space with at least two on him quickly when he tried it.
Thought Tom Vickers generally did well on the left again and is comfortable on that side getting in crosses well too, a good discovery in that role.
Judge & Kelly solid again overall but full backs done a bit too often by the guernsey widemen for my liking.
First goal was a combination of errors and should have been cleared by a stronger challenge earlier on.
Thought Tim did well but not seeing the best of what Dolan brings just yet but need time for him to settle and im sure he'll be an asset.

I think our midfield was the problem; there was a lack of space. Vickers did well but i think he needs to control his temper. I think if we had scored in the first 15 minutes after the break it would have change things. But like we all know, we didn't score.
Got to agree with both your points Dan, firstly we in my opinion missed that, shall I call it "awareness" between Kenny and Trevor last night. I spoke to Tom after the game and commented on his attitude this season. He was however, lucky to not get booked last night especially when you look at what Irish was booked for.
The referee had a poor game and never let either side play any sort of advantage until around the 85th minute. I'm not sure how the pitch looked on the live stream but it was in very poor condition, the grass was long and within 30 seconds of the kick off the ball resembled that of Westfields infamous bobble. I know that it was the same for both sides before anyone comes out with that old chestnut but it must prove advantage to the home side on more than one occasion this season, it was very slow as well not allowing the ball to roll any distance at all. I suppose you've got to expect that when you share a pitch with a rugby club.
I think the biggest liberty of all was our players were expected to walk to the ground from the hotel, this being on unlit roads where it seems acceptable to drive on the pavement!
Great to see and catch up after the game with a few of the Hastings supporters that made the journey, well done to all of you who made the journey, I know the players appreciated it.
Yes - not scoring in that opening part of the second half was a real shame - their keeper got out of jail big time when he spilled the ball - took exceptional defending to stop us equalising. And he got away with it in the first half too - and next thing they break upfield, penalty box ping pong and we're a goal down. Nothing quite like being outnumbered 954-9 and having to put up with them going manic when that one went in.
And a real shame KP wasn't there to come on for the last half hour or longer - his running would've stretched that home defence and taken some of the heat off young Trevor who had to step up intensity for the second time in a few days - but didn't do bad at all.
Semi pro football has that special no airs and graces thing about it - illustrated perfectly by Terry coming over for a long gas before kick off with the 9. Wish I could've made the post game do at the players' hotel where Jonah Lomu - the great All Black - was giving a talk to a packed audience. But that's another story that I'll save for our next home programme!
Pat - apologies for not maintaining the Twitter standards you set - I think you must dictate to a secretary when you keep us up to date! Take a Twitter, Miss Jacobs..............
Paid a visit to the German Occupation Museum the day after the game - and can't help thinking if we'd had a number 88 up front that things might've turned out different.......
Fascinating Lenny. And while making very amateur attempts to delve into my family's Channel Island history - I found time to go to a place called Torteval where the Germans built an artillery observation post - based on the conning tower of a capital ship. It was shut but still worth negotiating the winding byways of Guernsey to get there. And it was almost like being on our very own Firehills.
