Now we've brought the departure time forward it's sure to be a clear run! Hope to get there for 1.40pm latest and score to be 2-0 with both goals from Branco.

After the draw against Sittingbourne we now face bottom of the table Corinthian.
They lost their last home game against Herne Bay 1-4. Hopefully the long travel hasn't a bad influence and we bring back the 3 points home. Maybe John Maggs will start with some new faces in the team. Interesting also the game Peachehaven against Walton this Saturday.
Now im going to predict a 3.0 win to us with an attendance of 159 and the team coach to have a clear run on the m25 arriving at 13.28.....place your bets!
Long travel its only 50 miles, we will win but not as easily as we should.
Chris, it is 67,7 miles but almost 2 hours and that's what i meant with a long travel....... Ok you can always discuss what is a long travel. Anyway if you are going have a save journey.
oh dear...this doesn't sound good and wait to hear match reports as unfortunately couldn't get up to this game...does worry me that we were talking about 9/9 points in 3 games and now we have 2/6 points from last 2 games? we play Eastbourne town next Saturday ( who are now bottom thanks to Corinthians gaining a point at our expense!) who scored 3 today but conceded 6 goals at home to Faversham so surely we must give them a good old battering next Saturday...just feel that the automatic promotion place is slipping from our grasp when we had 2 gilt edge chances to storm to the top of the table...Peacehaven seem to be the form team at the moment but we need to sort out our goal scoring opportunities ( 3 in last 3 games ) and our defence who has conceded 4 goals in last 3 games.....Im afraid at the moment these are not promotion winning credentials.
Again we have a great chance next Saturday to trounce our neighbours Eastbourne Town so come on boys lets turn in on.
Still a very long way to go, I'm positive that we will soon get back to winning ways, if we pick up points on sides around us that is critical on reaching our goal. I think that the addition of a couple of players will do us no end of good.
Although I did not go to the match yesterday It seems to me that we are getting worse instead of better.
At the start of the season we were just scraping wins, now we are just getting draws or losing.
At the moment we are a long way from being a championship winning side, but because of the poor standard of the league I am confident at the moment that we will easily make the Play offs.
If we get the right combination of players in then yes I think we could win the league quite easily, but at the moment it doesn't seem to be happening.
It seems to me also that there are only 3 other teams aside from us that are capable of winning the league and they are Peacehaven, Leatherhead and Guernsey.
I suppose getting the right players in and building a championship winning side will take time and will not happen overnight.
First half we were very poor again and didn't seem to put any cohesive moves together. I didn't understand the defensive formation either as I thought that Slocombe and Hare were in the wrong positions. Once again our weakness on the left flank was exploited for their goal, and I'm getting tired of saying that . Second half I thought we were better in the first 20 minutes and hauled ourselves back into it with an excellent header from Kenny and a wicked deflection from a Darby shot. Once again we failed to concentrate and let them back in with a soft goal. They were not special - in my opinion we were the creators of our own downfall rather than Corinthian being creative, although I thought they were better than their position suggests .
Not a bad side really considering they all play for free every match! Good banter with their keeper too. Decent club even if once again we prob had more fans than they did!
Classic example of what's been happening of late - topsy turvy results with basement sides taking points of top sides - and a draw was a fair result. Just hope we don't get another example of that next weekend when Eastbourne Town call in.
Regarding Kenny Pogue's outburst yesterday - well, I didn't blame him for his reaction. The guy works his bollocks off for the team and I think my prediction of 15 goals for him this season is attainable. He doesn't deserve to be heckled - whether it's on here or at a game. He scored yesterday, could've had a hat trick (and yes, he missed but is he the only one who doesn't put away every chance he gets?) and put in a thoroughly decent shift. I must admit I think he may well be most effective coming on for the last 30 but also wonder how he might do with Branco or Ade to play alongside.......
Interesting results, Merstham drawing 3-3 with Guernsey and the Walton Casuals bubble appears good and properly burst.
Did anybody have studs in their boots yesterday? Looked like a decent pitch - almost as good as the Pilot Field - but our lads kept slipping over.
These sides are fighting for their lives and put that bit extra in when they are up against a side from the top end of the table. Thought Casuals were not bad considering their league position. Like Sittingbourne they defended and caught us on the break. Overall I thought we were the better side. Kent Pogue quite right to have a go at that so called supporter. He misses a few but he never hides and is always there when the next chances comes along.
Remember, we have a new manager who is trying to build a side, most of the players were there when he arrived and he is gradually sorting things out. It doesn't happen over night. Ade Olorunda could make a difference and Tim is now back from suspension.
Totally agree with everything there Powels, I never went yesterday but so often sides can perform better when they come up against higher placed sides.
Powells think you are right Ade could make a difference....we have scored 3 goals in 3 games. One from a retaken penalty...one from kenny and one from a wicked deflection from a mid field player...not sure where branco was yesterday? Next Saturday against Eastbourne Town is a massive game where nothing more than a convincing victory will do...few more dodgy results and dont think DW will tolerate it....We are not going to have an easier game on SAturday in this league agsinst a team who have conceded 17 goals in last 4 games....anything less than a comprehensive victory and we will have an uphill task to win this league and be back in the ryman prem.
I think your comment about DW not tolerating the latest results is a bit far off the mark hastingsbouy, after all it was DW who went after John not the other way around. There is still a long way to go, we are still only 3 months into the season. Every side has a dodgy period throughout the season hopefully ours is no more than a few draws we've had lately however we won't go all season without picking up losses.
I think the next 3 games ( at home Eastbourne and then away to Guernsey and Worthing ) will see where we are standing in the League. Peachehaven are having a very good run and scoring a lot of goals so we have to pick up at least 7 out of 9.
That is a good point lenny as u say there is still a lot to play for...guess thought it would be easy to give some of these lesser teams a good old tonking though but thats football can take nothing for granted and maybe there is a lesson there?
I didn't go yesterday but it is obvious that we need a left sided midfielder. The left backs we have had this season have had no cover and until we get a left footed player the LB position is a poisoned chalice.
Who did Kenny have a go at? I don't blame him the guy works his nuts off.
