Sittingbourne H Peacehaven A Walton Casuals H Merstham A Burgess Hill A
Corinthian A Crawley Down H Guernsey A Leatherhead A Three Bridges A
Eastbourne H Leatherhead H Peacehaven H Guernsey H
Guernsey A Hastings H Sitingbourne H
Walton Casuals A
I predict that if we get 10 points out of next 4 games, we will head the table by 4 points from Walton Casuals with 2 games in hand. More importantly we could be as much as 9 points clear of Guernsey with their tough fixtures coming up. All in a perfect world of course and starting with a win tonight.

After the game called off last Saturday this will be the first game of bringing us back on winning ways after
the defeat against Sudbury.
Sittingbourne current the number 19th in the table with 16 points. Will John Maggs bring is some new players at the start of the game ? Their most important player: Joe Taylor with already 9 goals scored.
Crucial to win tonight given the way other results have been going for us. Simons put on Twitter 5mm of rain expected today, but the pitch should cope with that.
Best home record in the league against the worst away record, albeit they did pick up their only away points at a fading Crawley Down last time out. And with the next 2 games being against the bottom, namely Corinthian and Eastbourne, I think we should expect nothing less than 9 out of 9 points. No pressure then
JohnW this could be the defining fortnight in our season get 9/9 avoid defeat in Guernsey and we will be set fair, and will have rest of the league looking up at us.
Just returned from the ground, pitch is remarkably firm considering the deluge it had fall on it on Saturday. Hopefully if there is no more than light rain this afternoon there should be no problems, however 5mm forecast this afternoon, Saturday 12mm was forecast and it turned out to be 30mm so let's just keep our fingers crossed.
Recon this could be one of our easiest home games this season and just got a gut feeling it could be a big score in our favour. We are due a big rampant victory and think its tonight against a side that struggle big time away from home although they are not much better at home. Ryan goulding could be there dangerman though.....i predict a 5.1 victory with an attendance of 369
Couldn't agree more about the importance of tonight and the next three fixtures. As well as the potential to go top by a good margin, there are the new signings and players returning from unavailability to look forward to. We were very thin for the Sudbury game; and there was only really Jordan on the bench as an attacking option. Hopefully, that should change significantly tonight. It will be very interesting to see the Manager's choice of starting line up and how he chooses to use the substitutes.
Think it will be a lot tougher than 5-1 in our favour. Their last 3 games have seen them beat Crawley Down 3-0, Herne Bay 4-2 and lose 3-2 to Worthing after conceding 2 in the last 4 minutes. I'm going 2nil.
What an absolute load of rubbish, too many players underperforming, and the ability to pass to another blue shirt was awful, we should be getting more for our £10 than that dross.
And another goal conceded through the left back area.

Yeah...let's not be greedy !
3 points however they come will do me.
Hopefully we do turn on a bit of style today but I am forever the realist and Sittingbourne will be determined not to give up without a fight.
I'll go for another narrow victory.
Don't get carried away with the new signings. It takes time to get a side to gel. I hope John uses tonight to bring the new boys in gradually. I think we will win by a couple of goals. Attendance about 400.
Personally I thought this was pretty typical of most league games I have seen this season. Plenty of endeavour, plenty of mistakes, plenty of dodgy defending and plenty of missed chances. The only difference was that we didn't score two late goals to send us all home happy.
I agree that a few people were a bit off colour today. Sam and Danny were less influential than usual and Branco was a disappointment, despite one or two moments of promise. Bailo was rightly MotM in my opinion and we witnessed a rare error by Josh in goal......but got away with it.
It was frustrating to win so many headers in their box from dead balls but not get one effort on target.
Anyway.....all in all a fair result......and I clearly enjoyed it a bit more than Chris....despite the dropped points.
I would not call it dross and clear we are better than this but disappointed that we did not get 3 points but cant argue that Sittingbourne deserved a share of points. Very lucky with the penalty, it was a stonewall but after the first pen which was not up to standard the second was so lucky and Sam will have breathed a huge sigh of relief that it ended up in net. Rodrigo show promise but still need top see more of him but think we need more changes in middle and Sam and Danny prob need a rest. Usual reliable supersub Kenny could done better with a couple of chance but what we really need is an out and out striker that is always there at the right timeto finish teams off. when i was at school they were called goal hoggers. consider weather good crowd for a really disgusting monday night and also to say the burger i had tonight was absolutely scrummie, probably my highlight of night
I'm pretty much with ChisB on this one. A very very disappointing display. The conditions were difficult, but the standard of our passing was very low throughout and we could easily have lost by two clear goals. Danny had a particularly poor game and we missed Tim hugely in midfield. Branco had some good touches but went down too easily and fluffed our best chance of a winner when gifted a one on one. Bailo deserved the man of the match award. He is so much better playing wide than in the middle. But the real pain was that Sittingbourne clearly were prepared to settle for a point with half an hour to go and we simply could not find the energy or some different strategy to deny them.
Should've won, dominated the game. However, it was the funniest first half I've ever been to. The Cole Warren was on fire in the first half last night! Anyone seen Jamie Crellin's tweet?

Didnt see that coming must admit...way out with my prediction...guess would prefer to play teams at top than lower half of table. Think corinthian will be a 3 pointer for us though as note they have conceded 10 goals in 3 games...eastbourne town are improving and notice they now have rocky baptiste playing for them...i will play safe and go go for a draw....so 5 points from 9 for last 3 games. What is concerning is that we have now only scored one goal ( retaken penalty ) in 180 minutes of football...lets hope this is our blip and things improve...we now have a great opportunity to capitalise by playing the worst 2 teams in the division.
For me too - assuming he is able to play at something like the high standard he achieved for us in the past - Ade would be very very welcome. Without any disrespect to any of our present forwards (who all have their positive qualities), the need for a strong central forward who can score consistently has been evident all season. That was even clearer last night. With the winter months, poor weather and heavy pitches, a strong direct forward is essential. If we don't soon get someone like that, be it Ade or someone else, then we will not be where we wish to be in March, contending for automatic promotion.
Well. What a ****e game that was ! Only entertainment was the 2 penalties and the crowd in the first half, don't remember much of the second half ! Missing Tim in midfield, think Branco had a decent game despite some pathetic criticism, made good runs, confident beating players, won 2 penalties and did well to squeeze a shot in from the tightest of angles. Their keeper was one of the most pathtic I have ever seen, claiming to be injured when saving a shot and acting like a caveman at times! Hopefully a better performance on saturday and it will only take a couple more wins to get a firm grip on 1st place which will hopefully inject some confidence into the lads! Onwards and upwards as they say!

Yeah spoke to Crells this morning, it all stems from their Guernsey trip. I'm not going to go into it on here but needless to say he ain't a happy bunny.
Thought overall it was a pretty even affair, thought the best we played was the last 15-10 of the 1st half... Both teams had chances to grab their second goal and Sittingbourne were unlucky to have a shot hit the post.
Was a bit disappointed with our passing, gave it away too cheaply too often. Bailo played well on the left and put in a few decent balls, that on another day we could have scored one or two from, unfortunately this time round no one could get the right connection.
From what I recall, Sittingbourne have always been a bit of a bogey team for us, so not too disapointed with 1-1.
Yeah Sittingbourne are our bogey team at home, Tony told me that we normally tend to loose at home to them. I thought it was an even affair and also thought a draw was a fair result. Bailo was a constant threat last night and thought that was probably his best game this season, Josh also had a good game, made certain that anything that came his way he smothered,on what was a very wet surface and could of easily slipped from his grasp. I thought Rodrigo looked busy and much improved from his previous games but needs to stay on his feet, at times it was a bit embarrassing I thought.
Pitch held up superbly much better than we thought it would last night, a few divots a couple of big ones but that happens most games but when you think of the amount of rain we've had we were expecting it to be muddy and was pleasantly surprised.
First things first another great job by Simon and the guys to get the pitch looking great as always. Big well done for getting the game on.
As for the game, I can only repeat it was pretty poor. Would probably say Sittingbourne were one of the worst sides I've seen this season at the PF. Thought Rodrigo looked pacey, but generally everyone was just poor. Maybe it will take time for some of the new signings to gel. We didn't really look like scoring other than from the penalty. A few close headers at the end, but not much else other than Rodrigo's chance. As for the 2nd penalty, it never looked like one to me in a million years. I was shouting for a corner if anything.
Thought the substitutions were a bit bizarre, especially bringing on Kenny for Rodrigo. Why not try them both up top together? The game was there for the taking, but we were still intent on sticking Kenny up top, and playing dire balls into him. Another man up top and it could have been a different story
Other than the Keepers pink shirt, not much excitement. 2 big games now, which need 6 points.

Yeah spoke to Crells this morning, it all stems from their Guernsey trip. I'm not going to go into it on here but needless to say he ain't a happy bunny.
Winchy, firstly the 2nd penalty was not given for a foul, it was given by the linesman because the keeper was 2-3 yards of his line when Sam took it. He could quite easily have given the same again on the retake as the keeper did exactly the same again.
Also have to totally disagree with your comment regarding Sittingbourne being one of the worst teams you have seen this season. I have not missed a game home or away and can honestly say that Guernsey, Letherhead and Sudbury are the only teams i have seen that have been better than them. They weren't world beaters by any means but looked half decent to me compared to some of the other tripe i've seen this season. Anyone else agree?
Ronnie did okay Bert. Stuck him in at left midfield. Not sure if he is left footed or he was there to accommodate others, but a solid rather than spectacular debut. Comes highly recommended from Hythe fans so have no doubt he will be a success given time.
Yeah I agree John I think their league position is a false one and although I don't think they'll get in the play offs they should get higher up the league. I thought it was quite an entertaining game especially after the Sudbury game.
Got to say that unlike some of the oppositions Managers their whole magnegment squad were nice people.
Agreed John - by the time it ended I was glad for the point because while we had much more penalty box play than they did - every time they went forward they looked lively and prepared to have a go and I could see us losing that game. Bit frustrating as well though - had one of those efforts gone in we might've scored a few more bit in the end, 1-1 was about right AND we do have a ****e record against Sittingbourne at the Pilot Field.
John,
Yes I DO agree with you. I missed Leatherhead and Sudbury and agree that Guernsey were the best we have seen this season....so Sittingbourne come in as second best at the moment. Despite plenty of errors it was decent entertainment and we could have lost it as easy as won it.
So I too was mystified by some of the most negative comments
And thank-you for clearing up that 'second penalty' incident.
That is EXACTLY what I thought had happened but had been persuaded by those around me that the ref had given the penalty for a second foul.
(That's the last time I listen to Mr McCrossen !)
As in many of our games this season there seems little difference between the sides at the top and bottom of the league. A game Sittingbourne could easily have won as they played well on the night. Impressed with their number 7 and their young sub who went on an amazing run late in the second half. Shame Kenny appeared to pick up a bad challenge soon after coming on. Hope to get back to winning ways on Saturday.
Thanks for clearing up the penalty, it was only as the keeper turned around and said just before the restart 'how is that a foul', that made me think it was for the foul afterwards.
As for Sittingbourne, they did have a game plan, and crowded us out well, deserved the point on that merit. I just thought technically they were poor, but were certainly better than us in terms of the basics.
I personally thought the first half alone was worth a tenner just for the banter behind the goal with the keeper and their number 8, who took it well to be fair
I thought a draw was a fair result and I can see Sittingbourne climbing the league....lets face it, its not hard to do that in this league with a bit of a run is it ?
I do think at sometime we are going to click though and it has been said before but someone is going to take a tonking sooner or later
