Would absolutely love to see Ade 'Andy Peters! back, one of my favorite ever players. Like Dave I cannot see it but everyone deserves a 2nd chance. Just how much does DW want that promotion? 17goals in 20 appearances for Maidstone in this league last year.
Not quite as black and white as Peter makes out on the Lewes forum though and a good friend of mine who follows them home and away is very disappointed. Only Jack Dixon ahead of him in the scoring charts for a team lying 5th in the league. Get him back!!!

left lewes by mutual consent! always think that means sacked maybe he aint got it anymore ans lewes forum suggest that he was disappointing. i dont think he deserves to come back after what he did in tonbridge game where he shouted at the main stand after scoring and was good when he then got accident elbow in his face!,if he has left lewes cos of work then how commited will he be to Hastings which might cause unrest with other player. also i know ChrisB wont agree but think it unfair on Kenny who has done ok this year and i would like to see Kenny and Rodrigo for a bit because they are two totally different players that could make good partnership hope rimsay no chance is right
Personally I can't see it happening for one minute as I have never seen a certain DW more incandescent with rage than he was that night against Tonbridge...can't say I was too chuffed with Ade's explanation for his action in that he claimed he was racially abused. I don't believe that for one minute and I feel he just compounded the crime with his explanation.
Having said all that, I would love to see him back leading the line with KP an option at 70 minutes. Clearly there will have to be a rapid change of attitude from the key players in this and maybe some genuine apologies. Let's hope this can happen because I am sure he is the best we could get at this stage of the season.
I know that DW has mentioned to me and others before that there's a lot of water gone under the bridge since that midweek game a few seasons ago. I honestly believe he's prepared to let bygones be bygones. I think he could certainly do a job for us and maybe Timmy being here may just help calm the waters?
He scored a lot at this level last season Chris but is prone to injury from time to time. I think he could be a great aquasition if and its a big if he comes back.
I have always been against him coming back but in our current position he would be ideal. Now time has passed I think it was 50/50 on the blame front with what happened last time we saw him playing at the Pilot Field.
Hopefully if there is a chance much common sense can be used to perhaps benefit both parties.
FAO: JOHNW
I saw the under 21's last night which saw Branko playing he made 2 and scored 1 but at times it seemed he did not know what he should be doing so the jury is still well out. One new Frenchman came on for the last 30 mins but had very little possession, but again he was very young and would get knocked off the ball very easily. From what i saw he is some distance away from the first team.
So I see the Observer claims that Ade coming to Hastings is now very unlikely. What a disappointment that is. So we are now relying on a 19 year old from Crawley, an injured Brazillian who has not yet delivered the promise we had hoped and Kenny Pogue, who despite dollops of huge bum licking from certain fans lately, still needs to deliver and improve on his 5 goals in 14 league games. You only have to look at the top 4 goalscorers in the league to see what we need. 1. Ross Allen Guernsey 14 2. Charlie Walker Peacehaven 13 3. Jamie Brotherton Peacehaven 11 4. Tom Bradbrook Leatherhead 10. Just hope we don't live to regret it.
Obviously being second in the table is a great position bar one but the goals for tally is a worry. You have to look down as far as eleventh to find a team with a worse goalscoring record and there are some below that with better records than ours.Got to be really thankful for our defensive record. Will the lack of goals let us down? only time will tell.
Can only hope that McCreadie fufills the potential that alot of people belive he has, Would love to have Ade in as well though to help him, Rodrigo and Kenny out
Think this depends on how well both these clubs progress in the fa vase....both will fancy there chances of progressing and this will bring prize money to purchase the goal scoring services of ade....shame it didnt go ahead at the pilot field for him though.
Dan can't believe you man, never thought you would of been a person to say Kenny out. Kenny has improved so much as a player since joining in pre-season and I believe by end of the season he will be scoring even better, I'm sure no one realises he is our top goalscorer
What an absolute joke! As they were in talks I would love to hear why we haven't signed him. Was it Ade or John's decision? Think this might come back to bite Maggsy in the backside if we don't win the league now. Despite all the positives from McCreadie, we must of missed 6 or 7 easy chances yesterday and we just cannot afford our current conversion rates against the better sides.
Absolutely ,,,if it's true we deserve to know why we haven't worked out a deal,,,hope this doesnt turn into another dual reg issue too,,,I'm really not a fan of those ,,,disruptive !
"I refer the honourable gentlemen to my previous answer."
This, I guess, is all about the outstanding issues between DW and AO and nothing to with JM at all.

Unless we get a club statement we'll probably never know,,,,If the club and player really wanted a deal it would probably have been made a while ago ,,,if there are outstanding issues then its probably best to let it be and move on .
20 goals in almost as many games for Maidstone last season answers that comment Tim. Had no fitness problems at Lewes either. Was starting and scoring goals as well until he had to serve a 3 match suspension for a sending off.
This is a massive blow although dare i say " i told u so" .....think mcreadie will be good but is a raw and untested talent ...ade would have given the extra dimension of experience so badly needed at the moment....as well as a proven goal scorer.....so how long will it be before we hear that sean ray has signed for rye or eastbourne utd....cant see him being prepared to go all the way up to kingstonian to sit on the bench for much longer..guess we can speculate till the cows come home why ade declined to return to the mighty Us.
Sean is already signed for Eastbourne Utd, he signed for them to get fit. I spoke to him today and he's enjoying his time there, I believe he realises he's coming towards the end of his career and that younger and equally talented players will obviously be first choice.
Sitting top of the league is a massive reason to want to stay at a club, whether playing or making appearances from the bench.
I'm not being funny, but surely times can move on regarding AO? I respect that he left with a bang and he's one of he best strikers I've seen here, and I've been coming nearly eight years. I totally agree with what Johnw has said. I don't know if anyone remembers, but there was a video interview for the Observer with Ade which was done at William Parker in which he said that he'd "like to come back to the club because he loved playing for us, but 'if only things could change'". I'm sure there's more that's gone on that meets the eye, but surely now this should've been sorted out. All the time there is all this speculation and pussy-footing around with what can happen and what can't, it's wasting valuable time and getting false hope.
Ade will provide a wealth of experience for the KP and Trevor, and when in form, is prolific, as we all know. He too is probably approaching the end of his career and correct me if I'm wrong, both Olorunda's have always played for the same club and pretty much the same time? I'd just love to see things have a line drawn under and move on.
think Maggs has made a brave move for future of club and looking long term. Lewes released Ade and there forum indicated he was disappointing and had lost pace. i imagine he had easy pre season and his work means he can not train an after watching him Maggs probably decided to go with a younger hungry striker than one at end of his career. he was injure a lot when he was with us before and probably to much risk having him back. i am glad we have Mccredie, he looked decent yesterday and with vickers 2 very good signings
Well with no Ade do we still think we need one more striker to be certain of scoring the goals or do we think that the current three of McCreadie, Pogue and Branco are sufficent? ( plus arguably Sam Adams is considered a striker by John Maggs as well )
Lewes fans seem to think that Josh Jirbandey will be joining them for the Christmas period...
One of those players that you would always want in the squad but thankfully CB is probably our strongest position so not as bad as losing out on Ade.
JJ put something on twitter about playing while he's back home but in all honesty unless you're struggling due to injuries you wouldn't want to disrupt your defence would you for a player who can only play a few games?
I keep harping on about it, but feel we have been very fortunate with injuries this season. If something were to happen to 36 year old Ben Judge, and Hare has returned to Gillingham from his months loan, we suddenly look very vulnerable at the back. As for strikers, I'm guessing they will stick with what they have. That will only change if Branco does not come up to speed pretty quickly. A few murmurs in the crowd on Saturday about his attitude and how injured he really is. Just murmurs of course, but more often than not a little bit of truth behind them.
Hope that the Hare loan will continue being extended as long as he is in the team, not in Gillinghams current plans just yet I would assume so better for both parties that he gets competitive football?
However not averse to a CB per se but just agreeing that JJ for 5 games wouldn't make sense at the mo....
As a '' outsider '' i find it strange that we still keep on talking about a player (Ade )who is not coming to our club ( although i can imagine that there is a bond between him and the club ) but there is not so much to read about the homecoming Vickers and Mc Creadie who both seems had excellent games !
Maybe we need to give those guys more credits !
Well with Tom it's only been a few months since he left so we know what he is capable of and the strengths he brings, Trevor whilst having started excellently is young and reletivley unknown while with someone like Ade his reputation at this level ( and higher ) is proven and I think it's the thought of what he would likely bring after several years away that was exciting.
However Trevor and Kenny have been excellent in their two matches together and hopefully they can continue in that form!
However as someone said to me just because Ade has signed for Rye that might not be the end if it, look at Ton Vickers as a prime example! Was there for about a week before returning to us...
If Ade is anywhere near his best he will form a formidable County League pairing with Andy Atkin and should score a stack of goals. Hopefully it will help Rye win their tough FA Vase match against East Preston. Nathan Russell and Jono looked pretty good in the heart of the defence against Cove in the last round.
