We are looking to try to run a coach to Chipstead on Saturday 10th August for the first match of the season
Costs would be £12 return for Adults and £5 for U18's
We need 15 Adults to make it viable cost wise ( possibly less if enough kids go as well )
Please reply below if you would like to book a seat, a deposit would be needed but would of course be refunded if we dont get the minimum number required to send the coach.
Such a short journe I'm surprised a coach is needed.
If it saves people taking their cars also they can have a drink etca surely its a good thing, no harm in trying to generate a bit of support for he side is there? You wait till we play Little Common in The Sussex cup we'll fill three coaches easily.
Not everyone has access to a car or space in one so the coach makes it simple, it's not the easiest journey by train involving 2 changes and I've looked at the various discount train options ( gold card, group savers etc ) and the coach seems cheaper than all of them.
Can only try these things as the last time we had a full coach for a league game ( Concord Rangers ) it was a great day but unfortunatly completely spoiled by a 4-0 whooping :(
Being the first game of the season we will hopefully get enough interest to run one.
We've had a lot of interest in away travel on the Facebook page already so worth a try, some if the away attendances last year were very poor so anything that helps is worth a try surely?
The season commences with 3 games in the first week. We start with welcoming title favourites Hastings in what will be a really tough encounter but one everyone is looking forward to.

Title favourites, eh ?
I wish I was that confident.
I looked at the league table the other day (Yeah...I know the season hasn't started) and spotted that we are currently 9th....alphabetically.
I reckon I'd settle for that after the last game of the season.....so that will be my optimistic prediction for the season !
Wish I'd taken the coach now - the walk from Coulsdon South station was fecking miles and seemingly all up hill. Took me about an hour... Still, am here now, time for a burger...
