Really gutted to see that the club was sadly relegated last night.
The chairman has very kindly invited Liam and myself to the game this saturday as his guests, and of course we had hoped it would have been a celebration.
Hastings have certainly felt the full force of football's emotional roller coaster this season, and maybe at this point its best to celebrate the highs of the FA Cup run and tackle the relegation lows over the summer, and hit the ground running in August.
We are both looking forward to coming back to the Pilot tomorrow, it really is a fantastic football club and one i know Liam has really taken to his heart.
Everyone connected with Hastings has been so proffesional, and that will put the club on a really solid foundation to be able to bounce straight back, and they will i am sure of that.
Well i think the least Liam can do is buy you both a birthday beer, make sure you come and introduce yourselves, its time he loosened his wallet..have a good day lads.
On Behalf of Liam and myself I Just wanted to thank everyone at Hastings for a great day yesterday. It was great to be back at The Pilot, and to meet up with a few people. A special thanks to Mr Walters for looking after us and everyone we met in the boardroom and the bar afterwards. Hastings is a special club run by special people from top to bottom. Liam and I wish you all the best for the summer and of course for promotion next season, and if you need a keeper for the FA Cup 3rd round again, dont hesitate to call !!! (Liam not Me !) All The best to you all...Liam And Martin.
Mob, glad you could both make it, sorry I couldn't get to come and see you but was running around like a lunatic. If you ever want to come down again don't hesitate to ask you'll always be welcomed. Good luck to Liam for next season I know I and everyone else on hear hopes its a successful one for him.
