Excellent win tonight, the boys played well together. Quality strike from Danny sees us move out of the relegation places at Wingate's expense, shame Lewes won though! Excellent win though!
I've been very critical of some of our performances recently but tonight's effort gave me genuine hope that we will survive. We started the match well but then seemed to lose our way in the fog........and then finished by producing perhaps the best 30 minutes of football that we have seen at the PF all season. Suddenly the team played with genuine belief. They moved well, passed well and combined well and we could easily have had four or five in the last half hour. Somehow we need to bottle that and bring it out again on Saturday....because we're still far from safe and we can't rest on these two wins. At least there will now be genuine competition for our goal of the season...up to now I could really only think of one, maybe two. But that was a simply stunning strike from Danny tonight. One other comment, there seemed a lot more enthusiastic support from the crowd tonight. I'm sure it's the case that the performance lifted the crowd first who then really got behind the team in that final spell of the game. So let's hope we can have plenty more of that on Saturday too. Certainly the most enjoyable home game since Harrogate and possibly the best home performance of the season. Well done EVERYONE tonight !
I agree with all of that! However, in my opinion there can only be one goal of the season, closely followed by Danny's tonight! I know who my vote for player of the season goes to as well!
Great result and a performance to match, I fancy us to get 4 points off Hendon in the next two games and hopefully start putting some distance between us and the bottom two with our 3 games in hand on them and Lewes.
Goal from Ellis was fantastic and if it wasn't for Bradley's goal at Boro then that probably would ave won the GOTS award hands down in my opinion.
The Midfield of Crellin, N'Diaye and Carey bossed the large part of the game and Danny shone as well, Shane for Bailo to go off as he had a great start.
N'Diaye is a funny one as he has moments of great class the follows it up with a loose pass under no pressure, hopefully will be seeing more of the former in the next few games and to be fair he was very close to scoring a couple of times today.
Pleased for Sean to get his goal too

Unfortunately missed our home league wins against Wingate and Enfield so this was the first league win for me since Harrow last season. Good battling performance from everyone with Sam showing what a valuable signing he was by playing in 3 different positions. Despite struggling with his general game well done also to Lee for playing in the perfect free kick for Sean to score. Hope we have enough fit players for Saturday.
Great team performance from the guys last night with some real stand out performances. I thought Jono Richardson was fantastic last night along side the equally impressive Razor, and proved yet again that he is not a left back! Sam Adams was back to his old self and never stopped running and Jamie Crellin worked tirelessly in the middle of the park. And for me, Danny Ellis just rubber stamped his player of the year award with another fantastic performance and wonder goal. And a little mention for Lee Carey. I have been his biggest critic over the season, but for me that was his best performance of the season by far. Still a few wayward passes but the lad never stopped working and driving the lads forward so well done to him.
The bailo injury is obviously a blow but i don't think I have ever seen a stronger bench at the Pilot Field. To think Freddie Warren didn't even get on and Dee and Bradley were not even on the bench, I really beleive we will now get out this mess. Well done the lads!!!
Great win, all done well, including all the pitch clearers, thanks to you too, I hope your right about the 4 points Dan, then maybe we can all get a little sleep at nights.
Wasn't there night but a great result, on ndiaye, noticed at kingstonian that when he got the ball at least 2 and often 3 players went in for the tackle, this must free up space elsewhere.
Great result last night...what about Dan East's save in the first half ? considering the foggy conditions ,that was remarkable !! Just want to add that I thought the ref could have easily flashed a red card or two..he didnt and allowed a fair game to take place. Passions are high and he did well not to spoil the game ...
Although I have been a supporter for six years or so, since moving to Hastings, this is my first posting to the forum. After the excitement of last night, I simply wished to endorse the comments of those who have posted earlier on this page. We had a good opening 15 minutes, an excellent last 30 minutes and a pretty poor period inbetween. Even when we were faltering, however, there was still a visible team effort; with particularly good perfomances fom Jono Richardson and Danny Ellis (superb goal!). What to me was most encouraging for the next fortnight was the team celebration after the final whistle. Clearly, this was not just another day at the office for the players - they wanted the win and fought for it. If that spirit can be maintained then we will survive. Let tomorrow be another step forward ........
